Most major gaming events that we know of usually stick to one venue, but not all do. One good example of the latter is Capcom's Monster Hunter Festa 08. In fact, the Festa stopped by Tokyo yesterday for the next phase of its Monster Hunter series celebration.

As was the case with the Fukuoka leg of the Festa, game producer Ryozo Tsujimoto and the 30-kilogram Rathalos armor greeted event attendees. Tsujimoto and fellow Capcom developers Yasunori Ichinose, Shintaro Kojima and Kaname Fujioka demonstrated a quest in the Jyukai map in order to fight the Narugakuruga beast.

The most notable part of the Tokyo leg of the Monster Hunter Festa 08, however, involved the Smart Brain team's victory over the said beast in approximately four minutes and two seconds - a victory which earned them first place in the event.

All in all, an estimated 8,000 hunters were on hand yesterday to participate in the festivities.
