The widely successful hack n' slash video game Monster Hunter Freedom 2 should be available later today in North America and the first week of September in other markets. Our Japanese friends have been enjoying this title from Capcom for almost half a year now and it's about time the other fans get to try it as well.

As they say, the last few hours of waiting are always the longest so to help reduce your agony, here are four new video clips for Monster Hunter Freedom 2 courtesy of IGN. These videos show a lot of the monsters you will encounter in the game such as wild boars and monkeys.

While waiting for the sun to shine and for retail stores to open, just enjoy the video clips below and get more familiar with Monster Hunter Freedom 2.

I wish MHF had infrastructure. That would make the game 100x better. Ad-hoc is cool but hard to get people to play with.

Well most people have been playing for the past few days anyway, its the same gameplay but better with new weapons, skills monsters to kill etc.

The last was the best game on the psp.. this builds on that.

Granted, the 1st one was good, but it definatly wasn't thr best game on the PSP, far from that, unless your a MAJOR RPG type game freak.

The best game for the psp:matter of opinion! In my opinion its Ace combat X, MGSPO, and Syphon Filter DM. This game looks good with not to much diffrences from the first. I just hope the graphix are better.

This game looks better, has alot more armor and weapons and is more fun to play than MHF. the guy in the movie sucked tho, that was a bad choice of videos to put here QJ guys.. he had a bad control of the camera and always uses the same move.. next time get a few videos from youtube or something. this game is a must have imo.

who ever is playing in this video isn't very good.. and they should've introduced a new wepon such as the bow, gunlance, or that hammer thing...

in their defence, its the job of neither IGN or QJ.net to advertise this title, only to report it... therefore they are under no obligation to show some 'l33t' gamer 'pwning' a wyvrn of Trogdor proportions... or displaying any particular skill in their playing...

Please remember that these people have to make their way through loads of titles every day and might not necessarily have the time to put a huge effort into learning the (actually quite tricky in this title) combat system... besides, as anyone who's played this can attest to; a lot of the time will be spent doing monotonous actions like those seen in the videos above...

At the end of the day, fans of the series are going to buy this regardless of whether IGN and QJ show cruddy footage; and newcomers need only know that this title is considered by many in the Japanese press as the saviour of the PSP.
