Capcom has put a new quest up for Monster Hunter Freedom Unite players to download. Compared to the three in the first batch it's a bit sparse, but hey, at least it's free.

On the fourth week of June 2009, arguably the biggest PSP game in Japan finally burst out of its cage and unleashed hunting fever on the West. Backed by an impressive ad campaign and publicity drive from developer and publisher Capcom, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite has certainly penetrated the collective gaming consciousness in the West more than any other Monster Hunter title so far. The question is, will it be enough to rope in new players or will the series remain a niche franchise for none but the most ardent and hardcore fans?

Heads up, fellow monster hunters. Capcom is currently running a create-a-monster contest for Monster Hunter Freedom Unite that earns the winner a free copy of the game along with extra goodies, so stop the killing for a while. It's time to create.

Yep, apart from the European bundle we've already seen, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite -- well, in this case, Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G -- is getting two new limited edition PSP bundles in its country of origin.

Capcom has released a new tutorial video for Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. This one deals with quests and how you can go about taking them. It gives an overview of the different quests that both the village elder and the gathering hall can give out.

If for some reason you're not able to download the demo of Monster Hunter Freedom Unite off of the PlayStation Network, you might want to stop by your local GameStop. They're giving away UMD versions of it.

Sony has revealed the Monster Hunter Freedom Unite bundle they've announced previously for Europe. The bundle, which will launch on June 26, will come with a PSP-3000, carry pouch, screen wipe, branded skin, and of course a copy of the game. Hit the jump for a pic.

Capcom's really pulling out all the stops to make Monster Hunter Freedom Unite as big in Europe as it is in Japan. At the MCM Expo in London, the company revealed that they're taking steps to ensure that gamers in London won't have a hard time finding other hunters to hunt with.
