Notch another milestone up for Capcom and its seminal hit, Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G. Over at Japan, the game has now shipped a combined total of over three million units. That takes numbers for both the regular MHP2G release and the re-release under the Japan Best label.

Surprised? No, not really. Just the other month, MHP2G was awarded the Double Platinum Prize for the 2008 PlayStation Awards. That big shiny trophy for Capcom means that their game has sold anywhere between 2 to 3 million. Now, they're actually announced they've shipped three million already.

It's now really just a matter of time when they'd breach the 3 million barrier in sales. Will they or won't they? Well, I'm sure when they release Monster Hunter Freedom Unite in other territories, that's sure going to notch down a couple other million too!
