Most PSP users aren't satisfied with using wallpapers to customize their PSPs, that much is true. So when custom themes became available and accessible, handheld gamers were all over the customized XMB themes readily provided by homebrew developers. But what if any of the choices aren't to your liking? Well, all you need to do is to wait until something that you like comes along. |

neither of these themes work straight out of the bag and there are no instructions with either, i hate it when the people who make this ***** take for granted that everyone will know how to install these themes!!!
cyclic reduncy!!! not enough space!!!! ***** off!!!
I've been running into the same problem, too. I think the "cyclic reduncy" and "not enough space" thing mean that these these were made more for the PSP slim, not the Phat, because the Slim has more internal space on the flash. I'm on a Phat, myself, and noticed that certain files with these custom themes were large than the default ones. I think that's why that program, CXMB has been made, since it takes it from the MemoryStick instead of the flash. I think I may just end up using that from now on.
the Moon and Black theme will brick a 3.90 m33-2. :|
Many of the files in Flash0 have been made hidden system files. In order to overwrite them with custom themes you have to make sure you have both hidden and system files visible on Windows. And delete your dic folder just to make sure you have enough space in Flash0.
Why not make it a .ptf? Manually writing files to flash for a theme seems so stone age. Is it not technically possible to have custom gameboots and such with a .ptf?
Because there's only so far a PTF theme can go? I don't use PTF themes as they're all so poorly designed, don't change the font or way the menu works (never liked the original XMB).
I'm using Clear Black (I think it's called) and its the best theme for the PSP. Beautiful it is and the custom font is leaps ahead of Sony's.
Look for black aruzia PTF, that's very nice if you ask me. Custom black icons with a great "fire" orange stylish background.
So people get banned if they post a theme that has a gameboot in the forums, but somehow its ok to upload by a blogger to dl.qj.net WITH A GAMEBOOT?!!?!?
What is this... Is it really a post about themes. All clap your hands for QJ.
Were are the iNacor themes on the frontpage QJ, and lot's of others too? There have been so much great themes but the QJ network never pays atention to them. I think it's one of the biggest sections in the forums but should they front page post NOOOOO.
First of I want to say that the first theme looks like cr*p and he even stolen my OSK. The second is ofcourse frontpage material. Schmilk is that man and his paf/vsh editing is fabulous.
So gona write a comment to the admin to please remove my OSK. I'm getting really tired of this sh*t......
SO Qj this is I think one of my last posts here....
Enjoy
those themes look like *****
im soooo getting that gameboot! ive been looking for it since forever! finally!
This theme screwed up my flash0 and bricked my psp......maybe it isn't for phat psp, only for slim
the moon and black theme bricked my psp slim and i cant even go into the recovery menu to do anything about it
