TIFF TronIn the wake of our earlier TIFF Pong update comes TIFF Tron. Coder elad_thc says he hit a dead end in the process of porting something over to the TIFF SDK, so he made this Tron clone instead. This game is all about an old-school Tron Light Cycle match. The goal here is to force your opponent to crash into the walls or your own light trail, just like in the 1982 movie of the same name.

To install TIFF Tron, extract the .zip file to your PSP memory stick's 'PHOTO' folder. Alternatively, you can also highlight the 'tron' folder in the 'PHOTO' menu on your memory stick, then press 'Start' to start a slideshow. So far, TIFF Tron has been tested on firmware versions 2.60 and 2.80, and elad_thc says it should work for everything from 2.00 to 2.80. We ourselves played Tron on firmware 2.7.

Kudos to elad_thc for an enjoyable and nostalgic game, and to PSPHacker01 for pointing us towards it.

 » LOL

Well i'm glad the there is homebrew on 2.8 but remember its still tetris, pong and tron.
Also tron isnt as fun as the other two. The computer starts out with more space than you, speed is slow.
But it's still homebrew on 2.8.
Now about that eloader/downgrader....

#5. I´m pretty positive it doesn´t work on 1.5 unless you use devhook and emulate a higher fw.

Nice to see 2.8 freindly homebrew coming along.

Not to be cold, as much as I DO love tron, but I hope noobz are still working on the eLoader. I have a TA-082 running 2.70. BTW slideshow increases the chances of the code running correctly.

» lol, I pretty much wrote this article.

from PSP3D: "the goal is to force your opponent to crash into the walls or your own light trail."
from QJ: "the goal is to force your opponent to crash into the walls or your own light trail."
Hmm. I suppose we should give Karl a LITTLE credit for rearranging the paragraphs and editing a few words :P

 » Woot!

I'm loving these 2.7+ homebrew games since it's really all I can do with my 2.71 psp XD (besides my psp games).. Keep up the good work!

 » Downgrade your 2.71

You can do that now you know :|

   by GiveHaste - 2006-09-18
 » LOL.

Sorry, but im not going to take the risk of briking my PSP with a new downgrader. I already took a chance once with 2.00, and it was successful. I don't plan on doing that now untill a more stable and secure downgrade method or something better.. plus, I would only go down to 2.6 since I can have more homebrew but still have my games (to me PSP games > homebrew)
