Neo GeoUPDATE: NJ has fixed the support for the 2.50/2.60 eLoader. The new downloadable file  reflects this update.

The hard-working NJ has once again updated his NeoGeo Emulator for the PSP today, bringing it up to version 0.2.2. As always, this version adds new bug fixes and features to the emulator, so here's the changelog as translated by QJ's very own Jeff Chen:

  • Raster effects will always be enabled when running the BIOS.
  • The raster effect setting will still take effect when in-game.(Changed to improved the running of uni-bios v2.0/v2.1/v2.2)
  • Extra drawing clipping process removed.
Now, I've left the bad news till the end. Although NJ has been working very hard on this, and we've had a new release at least once a day for the past few weeks, NJ has now announced that this emulator will be put on hold. He says that it is at a milestone, and the date when he will resume work on this emulator is unknown. Thanks for all of you hard work on this NJ, we appreciate it!

Anyone know how to fix the sprite cache error sfix loading or whatever when loading Metal Slug 1? I get it with all the metal slugs and some other games. I even made the cache using the converter. I can't seem to find the answer anywhere.
I'm on 2.0 tif exploit. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

 » Um ok

Sound would be great, but otherwise all the Metal slugs are playable if you know what you're doing

ps: what's with all the recent gay stuff on psp updates forums? I couldn't give a ***** what sexuality anyone chooses to mess with - but there's 2 things I hate - 1: homophobia, and 2: telling me what ***** you get up to, keep it to yourself.

(ignore this if you are virgins saying stuff to get attention)

To those who keep asking

yes you can delete the contents of the firmware folders 2.0, 2.5 and 2.6 then set your devhook to version 2.71 it will still work and you save about 90mb of card space

well dont get me wrong..im happy to see that they have such a great emulator....but why do they let one out almost everyday???isnt it just as good to out one up every week or so...so when they say how many upgrades it will be worth cheering about...because now when i see an update....i just ignore it and what like 20 minutes later for the next.lol

....still....thanks for the great emulator:D

 » special moves?

my friend whos a neogeo freak cant pull off any special moves in the neo fighters. he knows the moves are right. is it the psp being unresponsive to button presses or an emulation issue?

   by 22 (Unregistered) - 2006-07-16
 » 21

I pull off every single move in SVC and the KOF series with ease...I advise you not to use the d pad because it sucks...I cant pull off anything with the d pad and for some reason my thumb always ends up in pain so i use the stick...The stick will take some time getting used to but trust me it is way better and alot easier...It just takes time getting used to...

 » Excellent!

I'm a hardcore Neo Geo fan, and I bought a PSP (again) because of this emulator. I am 100% satisfied with it. My only disappointment, is that it may never get more attention.

Personally, I would like to donate to NJ as a show of thanks. I suggest others who have enjoyed this emulator as much as me to do the same. Perhaps this would change his mind about putting it on hold???
