In case you didn't know, Irem's actually working on another RPG for the PSP. In fact, it's probably done already given that it's already scheduled for release on July 23rd. Said RPG is Narisokonai Eiyuuden: Taiyou to Tsuki no Monogatari (Narisokonai Epic: Tale of the Sun and Moon). Quite a mouthful, eh?
But let's go beyond the tongue-twisting Japanese titles. Narisokonai offers you a vast selection of heroes, with lead Danish as your character. He is a swordsman following in his father's footsteps, and he is accompanied by Bread, Muffin, Croque, and Roll. Such yummy names for friends. There's even Panini and Pudding in the mix too. No explanation as to why Irem's obsessed with naming this game's characters after food on the breakfast table, but we do know a little something about its gameplay. For one, it provides some unique twists to the regular RPG formula. For example, there will be times when you will "hear" the thoughts of your team -- in the middle of combat. The thoughts come out in note form, similar to the ones in YouTube. Relationships will be key to the game as well, so Danish will have to build and strengthen a lot of them. The closer the bond, the stronger the characters will be in battle. Plenty of jobs to choose from too, with over 40 waiting for your picking. It adds to the already-interesting mix too as it does provide for certain oddball characters, such as the chef that attacks with a frying pan, and a math teacher. He'll probably throw long equations for you to solve. For now, however, it's set to be released only in Japan. It's not all too farfetched, however, for us to see an international release pretty soon. Localization's likely to happen next year, so they say. Related Articles:
