NFSC

Electronic Arts announced today that the release date of Need for Speed Carbon will be November 10, 2006, on all consoles (the complete list of platforms below). Developed by EA Black Box in Vancouver, British Columbia, Need for Speed Carbon is EA's next game in the series that will combine Underground and Most Wanted gameplay. The game will be available for the 360, PS3, PS2, Xbox, GameCube, DS, PSP, GBA and PC.

This the first time a Need for Speed game is set in an actual city or location from the real world - Carbon Canyon in California. Another unique thing about this game compared to the other games in the series is that your teammates will have unique characteristics and will help you bring those pesky enemies off the road. All their skills will be very important during the canyon races, especially ramming them off the road.

Wow...thats a pretty early release date, I hope it gets pushed back so they dont rush it out for the holiday rush of games...that would be a sad sad sight to see...cant wait for this game though!

» NFS, New *****ing..er *****, lol couldnt think of anything else

Who gives a monkey's crap!

Need for speed has been going WAY down hill, ever since they went to the "boy racer" style game. It all started on NFS: Underground.

My God what were they thinking, letting you tune a saxo to get it to 60 on 3 seconds... =/

^^ because its real life - people completly change their cars..maybe 60 in 3 for a saxo is pushing it...but 4-5 secs is easily done...

It's coming to Wii too. Is it not on there because there is no launch date for Wii?

» I'm not looking forward to this

Ever since they turned it to the absolutely horrendous idea of "street tuning" the series went to hell. I'm sorry, but I'd rather race cars that don't look like crap. All this crap with body kits and spoilers, etc. etc. etc. just ruins the game. The cars look horrible that way.

Bring back the old Need for Speed.

oh hell naaaw!! underground 2 and most wanted were waaay better than the original underground. This game is going to be better than underground also.
   by whocaresanyway (Unregistered) - 2006-07-18
» MC series yeah good stuff

nfs was ****ing boring before underground which stepped it up a bit and underground 2 was lame and mw was really better in most things minus the customizing crap selection but other than that it was really enjoyable so i hope carbon lives up to it and surpasses it.

I think it was amazing bring the tuning bit into it and the underground series jsut made it bettter.

mw wasa crappy let down and rivals was better. but i hope carbon makes it alot better

Another Underground-esque NFS? Sigh, when will it end.
