Pawa has released NetHack for PSP v1.0c. NetHack is a single player dungeon exploration game that runs on a wide variety of computer systems, and has also been ported to DS, but was originally ported to the PSP by Virtuamunstaz. This game is still not fully featured on the PSP (Not everything works), but it is playable. There are lots of options for you to navigate, and I would advise this homebrew game for those of you that are into puzzle and RPG games. Expect many new releases in the future!

 » Great news!

I'm going to test this right away! The first version of this was the first thing I downloaded for my PSP. It wasn't really that playable back then, so hopefully more commands are available in this version=)

This site should either start a massive IP ban(on those who deserve it) or have a login system for these kind of comments. It's sad to see a great site, such as this, be destroyed by a bunch of immature pricks.

 » Hm

This is quite old, it was on psparchives.de for a long time.

 » Best game ever?

This game is flat out awesome. It looks very basic but the complexity of game play is enormous! Read the FAQ of the PC game sometime.

This game is very old and open source. So, over the years many people have contributed to making it a great game! WHat other game can you become so powerful that your own god cannot destroy you???? NETHACK baby!

I played the old version a while back but the controls were terrible. An onscreen keyboard would make the game much much easier to play. I'm excited that it's updated instead of just being abandoned.

 » Thanks

I hope you guys like it as much as I do. I have just enhaced it a bit to make it more playable, but VMU did a nice job porting it to the PSP.

Expect a keyboard interface for text entry in the next release. You can check the README.PSP for the configuration and what commands are now available and my todo list.

is this type of homebrew the one you play on the internet or do you download it and play it
also if it is over the internet do you need a hotspot or a wireless router?

 » yes... and no

yes it should work with the GTA:LC eBoot loader and no, it doesn't play over the internet. Its a single player, standalone homebrew
