if i'd do this tutorial, does this effect the normal camera? or does it just add the night vision function?
it makes it so that IR will always show on the camera (now IR signals will be shown in pictures in video such as a remote being used to change channels)
simple I already read tha ta fewm ins ago and I'm almost done. Pretty simple.

I understand how the Cam works with the IR, but i want to see this in action. Or how the camera hooks up to the psp atleast. It really sounds sexy.
very nice tutorial and mod, personally id rather not do this to my choto shot camera. but who knows, i may consider it when i have the need for a night vision IR camera.
Why on earth is there an IR filter in the first place?....... Why the hell didn't they just add a couple of IR LEDs to the chotto cam, and give it some (extra) originality?

It's because the camera would not operate as intended due to the way that they designed it, so they had to add the IR filter to block out extraneous IR radiation.
This is prolly teh most genius mod i've seen yet. Seriously contemplating getting a chooto to mod . Looking foward to some previews of the unit in action.
For instance , does it have a 3 foot range.
