Here's another cool video from AcidMods' Neubit">Neubit. Yes, the same person responsible for the AAA PSP Battery mod. Behold, the new PSP Chotto Shot night-vision mod, in which your PSP Camera is apparently able to capture decent quality video in dim / dark lighting situations. |

Second! :P
This should stop _some_ fighting.
Look I'm second yayzorz ;D
I don't see what the mod does and why does it show harrassing a kid while hes sleeping. All sounds very odd. Too bad it wasn't what I thought this thread would of been. Would of been nce if the psp had some kind of wicked if they made night-vision something for the psp...
How can you be confused about what this does? It's a 'NightVision' modification for the PSP's 'CHOTTO SHOT' camera attachment... in simpler terms it let's you see and take pictures in the dark... how confusing is that really?
we do not see the psp webcam
looks like this guy is a petifile
its his bro. moron
I have a Chooto Shot and this will rock. What i would like to know is if it will involve opening my chotto shot or if it is a homebrew/ISO mod?
This is a hardware modification, it is NOT a homebrew mod or program, it DOES require you to open the CHOOTO SHOT. Infrared LEDs are added to the CHOTTO SHOT and the infrared filter is removed from the CHOTTO's lens.
Get that poor kid a pillow.
Rofl.. He does need a pillow indeed...
ne who..
we have no indication that this video is taken with a PSP Chotto Shot.. but any U.S. Release Dates available for the camera and/or the GPS? we are all waiting.. : I
has acid mods ever let you guy's down?
If this does what I think it does, which is lets you see in the dark without having a light(real nightvision) that'd be awesome and I'd so do it when the Chottoshop comes out in the US.
as we all know, electronical matrix is able to see the infrared light. (try it! aim a remote control from your TV to your mobile phone camera ane press something on remote.) you just need to buy a infrared torch... and attatch it somehow to your PSP (IMO ducttape will be the best) ;)
yoti93 nice one some has been doing there research, and as you will find out in the up cumming tutorial the chotto camara does draw power from the psp there for you can power your IR ring with the camara. keep in mind when attempting to do this mod you will need speciel IR LED's we will list the part numbers required in the tutorial :)
Yoti93, I think you may be forgetting the PSP has IR built right into the top. It might not be strong enough, though.
and what about the PSP screen??... wouldn't that light up the whole room? Unless he dimmed it or turned it off... but then again, how would he know where he's going or filming?
I agree completely.
If you keep the screen button permanantly held, you can use the other buttons without the screen switching back on. And, if it's your own house, I think you'd have a pretty good idea of what's around you.
You say his brother never noticed him filming? then why did he look STRAIGHT at the camera? this is a load of *****.
Maybe he could hear rustling from that direction?
this is an easy mod... a lot of people do it to video cameras that don't come equipped with "nightvision" (it's really not) from the factory. basically you just remove a filter in front of the ccd (charge coupled device... it's what turns light into electricity in a video camera) that filters out infrared light. all ccd's naturally "read" infrared light. it's just the way they work. they cant separate anything without filters. the video produced looks the way it does to you (normal) because the voltage values produced by the photosites on the ccd(s) are "mapped" to a matrix of color values. you can change the color matrix and make it look any way you like. most professional cameras filter infrared out because it can hurt image quality. notice really really cheap cameras have "nightvision" while good nightvision goggles cost much more than the cameras. a common mod, nothing revolutionary.
1. Import the CHOTTO SHOT from PlayAsia.
2. The type of iR on the PSP iR port is a different wavelength and intensity.
3. Anyone who thinks this is BS doesn't know AcidMods...
4. Though improvised 'NightVision' is nothing 'revolutionary' it's groundbreaking in the PSP scene (with regards to the CHOTTO SHOT), otherwise someone else would have already done it...
