Cre8tive from psp-hacks.nl found it mutch earlier than dark_alex
(sorry for my sucking english, im from belgium so)

That it was, as far as I can tell, first encountered on Maxconsole. At least, that's where developers like SilverSpring, jas0nuk, cory1492, and the like all seem to have first taken an interest in confirming that it was indeed a new motherboard.

» Stinks for Slim users but...
I'm pretty confident that the PSP homebrew coders can find a way around (if they ever need to, seeing as one can do research to avoid getting a Slim with the new MoBo) to getting access to the eeprom, so these new Slims can create homebew-lovin' batteries.
Though I like to stay Phat :)

as long as you can still use a pandora battery I don't think there's any reason to panic. Lotta pandora battery's out there, check with friends or if you're lazy check ebay for pandora batteries incl. magic memory stick at very reasonable prices.

lol theres no other method? for what,making a pandora battery? um yes there is, all u need is a spare battery(1800 or 2200,not the new ones), a knife(like the ones for arts and crafts), a brain and knowing what chip to modify and a tweezers or finger nail clipper. the chip is named ic04 and it has 4 pins and u must remove the 4th pin( its positioned and placed differently on both batteries) and once thats done your battery is a permanent pandora battery. btw u need some tape to reseal the batteries casing. thats it, a different method.

3rd, Just wait and see the scene find a new way to get around this issue. We've gotten around pretty much everything else, so hey.

So anyway what's the big Idea, big deal that no can do Pandora's Battery with A Slim, c'mon I never used a PSP slim to create a pandora Battery, so theres no panic... We can always use the PSP Phat for that, thats actually that everybody use tradicionally...
So if sony hinks they are making an opposition or an obstacle perhaps, they should go way far from this! I mean I'm saying "NOBODY USE QA PSP SLIM TO MAKE AN PANDORA's BATTERYwell may be some newbe's but is not necessary.
Well like always SONY is a one step down from the Homebrew Scene!

Many people on various forums have noticed this on their new PSPs. I specifically remember Cory1492 diagnosing someones PSP with this a week ago on maxconsole.
