71M has made the final updates to his Geometry Wars look-a-like for the upcoming votes for the NeoFlash Summer Coding Competition (2006). This competition will end submissions in less than 4 days, so this update comes in perfect timing. Don't forget that we too have been hosting our very own competition ending soon, so get your entries in soon! The new update to this great game clone offers a new control scheme along with several other additions to the game to improve the overall quality from the first release.

Trigonometry Wars is one of the more advance Geometry Wars clones out for the PSP, and is a must-have for the PSP! There are now two different control schemes to choose from, allowing you to choose the one you like best rather than being stuck with one configuration that you may or may not like. Also, you can switch on-the-go by hitting select during gameplay, allowing for some more complex strategies if you master both configurations.

what the heck? With the analog thrust option, why is the up fire button 2 times the firing speed? Also, why cant you fire at angles?

one of the nicest game ever, but one word, have you turned up the firing rates? the green ones get a little out of hand with the firing rate on the second one, gonna try this one now..

this doesn't work at all for me. i start it, and it gives me a black screen with nothing. i press home and it freezes up on the "please wait" screen

» nice work 71M...my favorite new homebrew

2 suggestions: Clock the cpu to 333 so theres no slowdown. Increase the sound effects volume just a bit...hard to hear them over the music. Hope you keep working on this after the contest is over. I love it. Thanks

 » Game is flawed

Hi, nice effort, diag. shooting would be cool, and if u sit in a corner of the screen u can pretty much beat the game. Got bored after 1.2million

» We need diaganol shooting with face buttons, and a sidescrolling play area.

If you can ad diagonals to the face buttons, make it have less slow downs, and add a sidescrolling gameplay area(like in the realy GW).

then you would be the creator of the best homebrew game and probably be sued because its too awesome >_>

 » very nice

nice work man. very nice game. u shud take a look at the game vector infector (which is also a port for geometry wars) and it's controls. it uses the analog for thrust and the X O [] / for firing at different angles. maybe not as accurate as the 360's two analog sticks but hey that ain't ur fault it's $ony's :D again very gd work and keep it up
