New screenshots from The 3rd birthday

We've got a few screenshots today from The 3rd Birthday. The game isn't quite a sequel to Parasite Eve 2, but it does still star New York cop Aya Brea, who at 35 years old still looks like she's in her twenties thanks to her highly-evolved mitochondria.

Square Enix hasn't revealed any story or release information about The 3rd Birthday yet, but we'll be keeping our eyes peeled for any new updates. Keep checking back here for more news on this and other PSP games.

This is a port of a MOBILE PHONE game in Japan. Those screens are pathetically misleading.

Is it not possible that rather than a straight port, the game is being remade and expanded for the PSP? Much in the way God of War is available in some form on mobile phones.

It wouldn't make much sense for Square to release a game on PSP that takes an hour or so to complete, unless it's a downloadable title from the PSN. I'm banking on an extended remake.
