Escape 001

Unusual. It's the word that can best describe Taichi1082's entry to NEOFLASH's Summer Coding Competition called Escape. Now before you assume the negative, let me just point out that unusual means not ordinary.

The object of the game is to escape the room that you are in using objects found in that room. If you're familiar with the series of popular flash games like the Crimson Room, then you already have an idea of how this game works. If you don't, a tutorial is provided on the main menu. Controls are fairly simple. All you have to do is hover the cursor over an object you want to check out and press X. A description of whether the object is of any help will pop up upon doing so.

Visually, the game is also a different breed from other homebrews. Photographs are used in place of artworks which are commonly found in other homebrew. Others may think that this is just an easy way out for making time consuming graphics; however, we feel that it reveals a new avenue that other homebrew could take in the future.

The game has a lot of surprises in store for you, like very, very unusual ways to escape, especially in the last level, but I won't let the cat out of the bag yet, you'd have to try the game yourselves. Thanks and best of luck to taichi1082!

» Hey I have an idea for a new game.

Hey this is to the author. Maybe to some of the people here that know about this very good arcade game I used to play. Well it was touch screen but, it is very possible to play on the PSP without the touch screen. All you will probably need is a simple mouse cursor.

But yes this is a very entertaining game. All you need is 2 identical pictures on the screen and you must differentiate whats missing from 1 of the pictures. The one I played was with like hot women in bathing suits. So yea that would be nice if they can keep that theme. So the way the game is played is you have the most 1 1/2 minutes to click on the missing objects. This would probably win the competition. Because the gameplay is very fun and sometimes it gets so hard even the obvious things on the pictures can give you a hard time. lol ... Let me know what you think guys ?

 » nice try... no cigar

I'm sorry to the creator of this game but you couldnt have put in A LOT more work. Every level only requires the acquisition of 1 item (maybe 2, never more) to beat the level. All you have to do is hold the X button and drag the cursor around the screen until it basically says YOU WIN. Good idea, but try again, you did NOT put enough work into it.
