Drifting, yeah, drifting! But what’s wrong with the graphics? It’s not as good as Ridge Racers! SEGA's wild drift-happy racer comes to PSP with this follow-up to the arcade and Xbox Outrun revival. The enchanting draw of the open road has never been so appealing with the choice of one of 12 fully licensed Ferrari models, featuring the all-new F430 and the dazzling Superamerica. Gamers will feel the throaty whine and that distinctive Ferrari exhaust tone as they power their way across 30 glorious stages from the best of the OutRun2 original and the follow-up OutRun2 SP arcade experience. Race from coast to glorious coast with a fresh new mission structure, a license mode and wireless link play with up to 6 players for a thrilling head-to-head journey. With platform specific missions, the player will also be able to unlock PSP exclusive content by connecting with the PS2 version, and vice versa. Stack up the OutRun miles from the sun-drenched sands of Palm Beach to the charms of Cape Way to unlock new tracks, cars and much more! [via JeuxFrance] |

Ridge Racer FTW!
WOW ! a racing game for the PSP.
Must be the first one...
WTF , I posted this 2 days ago in the forum !! you **** you should hav at least said my name !! ****ER
Will this be playable on 1.5's or are all new games v2+ only??
It would be best to wait and see what the game looks like in motion before deciding it looks better than RR or not. If it runs at a smooth 60fps like the Xbox version of OutRun2 did then I'd probably prefer this over RR's graphics... probably. Also the screenshots look very grainy, I wonder if that would be less noticeable on the PSP's screen.
That said it's amazing to think that a game quickly put together for the PSP's launch still has some of the best graphics for the PSP. How did Namco do it?
old memories of arcade game...
all sega games look like ass for other consoles anyways. the only game they didn't mess up was that tennis game, that looked fine. this looks like ass. seriously. might be fun though. $19.95???
I don't want to be rude... so I'll just say "It's just a bad looking racing game nobody needs"
i concur hataru, i think the rose tinted spectacles will make this fun for hmmmmm five minutes perhaps..
Almost every sega game looks like a cartoon...
Besides, outrun for the xbox sucked, I never saw what people liked about it. Even as an arcade game it sucked.
Chrustii, not to be rude, but if you or anyone has some news then there is a link at the top of the site to submite news. The people who put news on the site dont have the time to dig in the forums for a new newspost. Sorry man but really, by submitting news is the best result for front page action. =) sorry this happened though
Outrun should stay in the arcade where its accually fun. I remember playing it for the first time with my buddies and when we saw it on the xbox, we couldnt resist. Then after about 2 hours of everyone getting a ago, its not the same. We have the wheels, we have surround sound, we even have the metal frames with racing seats that hold the wheels. Were car game fanatics.
But the arcade version we played had moving seats that adjusted to the drift and jerked us around. We decided long ago to never plat split screen racers aso system link it was and it was still not as great.
A psp version might be a success only and only if it has more multiplayer options. the old head to head or 4 player action just wont cut it.
