PMP Mod AVC - Image 1PMP Mod AVC - Image 2PMP Mod AVC - Image 3

Whenever there are new homebrew releases for higher firmwares, we always get comments like "How about us 1.5 users?" It's good to know then that moneytoo in the QJ forums, PSP homebrew developer">Madruscoe (a.k.a. moneytoo in QJ forums) keeps on updating his awesome PMP Mod AVC. To those of you who are new to this, the program actually allows firmware 1.5 users to play full resolution, high-quality AVC converted files using the PMP AVC Muxer.

Anyway, these are all the changes that happened since the last release:

Version 1.02M-I (02.02.07) tuned by Madruscoe:
  • Fixed displaying long file names in deleting dialog window
  • Added ability to set any brightness you want (included 4th brightness level and brightness lower than the default system minimum) (can be set only in file list, press/hold left/right)
Version 1.02M-H (14.01.07) tuned by Madruscoe:
  • Fixed subtitles (.srt) disappeared after 30 minutes of playing (thank you bootsector)
  • Added thumbnail support (thanks to JasonV and his Mod)
  • Added support for headphones/remote control and analogue pad in file list
  • New graphics by MAK
As always, please browse through the complete readme file first included in the download before using this app. All important details can be found there.

of course... because battery runs longer (uses 120 MHz except of 222 MHz), can use separate subtitle file, you can turn off (not standby) psp and last position wont be erased...

So people with 3.03OEC don't need a homebrew app to play full res videos?

» I really did give it a fair shot.

I tried to use this app. I definately gave it a fair shot but it was just way too buggy. It was more trouble than its worth.

 » Cool

I've always liked PMP-AVC better than fullscreen MP4-AVC. I'm always using PMP-Mod AVC, and this update looks cool :) (extra brightness levels, yay!)

 » Not working on 3.10OE-A2??

I can't get it working on my 3.10OE-A2 firmware! Could you please make a support for it too?

 » woot! great mod!

Fantastic mod! Really like the OSD.

I use this to stream AVC video vi WiFi and irshell. I can't use PiMPstreamer because I'm on linux so this is a great solution!

Couple of questions:

1) The documentation says that it will save the last position in a movie when exiting. Is this information saved in the pmp mod directory? I ask because it doesn't seem to work when using nethost redirection. Maybe I need to recreate the pmp mod directory structure on my nethostfs server side?

2) If the WiFi connection drops for any reason, the program hangs and I have to reset irshell and reboot pmp mod. Is there any way to make this more robust and able to recover from a WiFi dropoff?

3) When using x+right to accelerate fast forwarding, how many seconds does it forward and does it buffer keypresses?

L8R!
