PSP-2000 Traveler Case - Image 1

Traveling with your PSP Slim can be a touchy affair, really. There are all sorts of things that can happen to the handheld, from something as minor as a scratched screen to full-out casing damage. Thus, it falls to the owner (yes, that's you) to safeguard your precious handheld against such things, and there's no better way to do it than with a hard, durable case to keep it safe in. Sony's latest PSP Slim & Lite accessory, the PSP-2000 Traveler Case, should fill that need pretty easily.

Just like Logitech's own hard case for the original PlayStation Portable, this one encases your PSP Slim & Lite in a protective shell, along with Memory Sticks and UMDs. For the mere paltry sum of US$ 16 (at Amazon, at least), you'll be able to enjoy the peace of mind that the PSP-2000 Traveler Case offers. And we have to admit, it looks pretty good. So if you're interested in nabbing one of these, simply hit up the via link to know more.

Didn't everyone do the project in second grade where you built an encasing for an egg to be dropped from the top of the school building? Only a few kids failed at it so I am wondering why anyone would use a hard case for a PSP? Sure you will prevent scratches but it does nothing to dampen the shock of an impact.

Ya, don't drop your PSP. This case is meant for safe storage when traveling, say you through it in our bag and you are worried it will get crushed or dented or damaged from other items. In electronics, there just aren't real good consumer items to stop shock damage.

» there are PSP2000 cases everywhere already

yeah except the -plethora- of semi-hard padded cases out there that also feature pockets for my memory sticks. Protects from scratches, drops, and provides storage all at once. The only problem with those is that you cannot play the system while its in the case. I got mine for $7-8 even though it was a brandless generic, while the shop owner kept on offering me the Logitech version (similar to the one above) for $3.

 » About time...

One of the things that has kept me putting the PSP-2000 bundles back on the shelf, is lack of good protective cases. Something to keep it safe from scratches and crushing when it's in my pocket or backpack.

Now Capcom just needs to bring the LE Monster Hunter PSP to the states and I'll be set. :-) (Although looking at other options at Amazon, the "Sony PSP Slim - System Skin Case - Crystal" http://www.amazon.com/Sony-PSP-Slim-System-Crystal/dp/B00126ELSI/ looks pretty good too.

But glad to know options are FINALLY starting to appear.

I have the Joytron Crystal case and I love it. It fits perfectly, doesn't make the PSP much thicker, and actually makes the system easier to handle. If you're on the fence about buying it, I highly recommend it. I throw my PSP in my pocket all the time with this case on without worrying at all.
