Courtesy of developer timwillhack (creator of the Hexaxis homebrew game) we've picked up a video demonstrating just how well Team M33's Custom firmware 3.60 for the PSP Slim handles. timwillhack notes that the video's been sped up in some spots, and other segments have been edited to keep it within YouTube's 10-minute video limit: The author was also kind enough to post a list of applications and games that have been confirmed to work on this new CFW release. This should answer some of the more pressing questions viewers will have about possible issues with CFW 3.60 M33. Quoting the YouTube post: |

I'd like to see bookr on the slim :( but good to see unencrypted pops eboots running!
This list is not accurate, Bookr IS working fine (tested with Harry Potter 7 on my slim :),
You just need to use the 1.0 version, not the 1.5 !
I've also tested PSP Revolution, working too (again, 1.0 eboot, not 1.5) !
No SNES TYL 4.2 or DGen?? Terrible shame.. Those are my two favorite homebrew apps by far..
I was pretty excited when the Slim got FW hacked, but now this is a very tough sell...
lmfao 2 in a row
anyways it doesn't matter..its just so quiet when all te noobs
can't reply
but hey at leats all those
damn spammers advertising their crap..is gone.
make free money my ass..lmfao
i needed confirmation to see if homebrew works (Pre-Ordering Now) :)
Considering the thing has only been out for like a week, give it time for a proper downgrader to get working and before you know it both PSPs will be equal.
Did he confirm that he has more flash0 space?
I hope this helps to keep interest with homebrew devs especially ones that are working on
Atari 2600/5200/7800/800
Coloecovision
SMS
Genesis
SNES
C64
Amiga
MAME!!
ect ect
Well we have pandora's battery and a custom firmware aiding this new product. GPSP (GBA) emulation is flawless, psx and iso emulation is better than flawless if at all possible. Actually that's probably an exaggeration. It uses a rather dated version of snestyl... but GBC works...
it does look like slim will boot eboot version 1.00. No?
how much is premium membership on qj, i hate seeing ads
anyhow major congrats to team m33 for cracking the psp slim and therefore giving us gamers what we actually want from the psp.
Firefox and adblock plus are your friends
i agree completely. firefox + adblock + noscript ftw.
Thanks alot!! I already use firefox, but where can i get adblock?
I noticed that the only homebrews that worked were based off of 1.00 FW, so I am thinking, maybe the developers can port there homebrews and emulators unto FW1.00 and maybe all of them will work on PSP SLIM, I know 1.50 doesnt work but I don't think Sony actually made a way to fully make 1.00 eboots work on new PSP's and thought 1.50 was the only thing that got in there way, when it comes to homebrew and I know 1.50 patched 1.00 but I don't think it really FULLY PATCHED 1.00.
So maybe theres a chance to use emus and stuff made off of FW1.00 and use it on slim.
Also for those that think theres gonna be a SLIM downgrader to 1.50, thats not gonna be real cause 1.50 is not built into the slims motherboard and slims motherboard is based off of 3.60- above, so it cant work anything off of 1.50 because thats not on the motherboard, even the hackers that made the CFW for PSP SLIM said that.
Anyway 1.00 eboots have a strange way of being able to work on anything PSP hardware related from what I see, maybe if you used a SNES EMU off of 1.00 FW, maybe it will work on slim, I DON'T MEAN THE 1.50 VERSION!
Anyway no one on Gfaqs believe this nor do they believe alot of stuff.
