ultimax from our forums has created a nifty wallpaper creator for the PSP...Well, for Windows actually. It creates the wallpaper using a bunch of settings which you can specify. Then, it will save it as a bitmap image which you can copy to your PSP's flash using Flashmod or a similar application.

Here's a screenshot of a wallpaper which I dished up in a few seconds:

Wallpaper

And it doesn't look bad by any means. You can specify the gradient pattern by right-clicking on the Gradient button. Make sure to check out all the options. It's really great.

wth, is that thing in the background...it looks like frieza!!

*goku comes out of nowhere*

Goku: Frieza!

Frieza: Ah, Goku, Our paths have crossed again...

Goku: Where the hell did you come from?

Frieza: From the deepth of hell.

Goku: I don't care where you come from, as long you stay there.

Announcer: This show cannot be viewed any other circumstances, it contains graphic violence that should not be viewed for people under the age of 12.

*screen flashes with a nuclear bomb dropping then returns to a black screen*

*explosion sounds*

*screen returns with enormous crater in namik*

Shinji Ikari: The hell is going on here...?

Gendou Ikari: Call in the evas...we've got a problem...

To Be Continued-

Not going to download this but I guess it could be good for newbies who want to be able to make their own backgrounds easily.

» Don't mean to be harsh but...

Don't mean to sound harsh, but paint is definitely a more effective program for making wallpapers. I appreciate the work put into this program to help out the PSP community, but still, most people will be better off using more traditional programs such as Paint.

 » Not too bad.

It's not too bad of an editor, since you can edit them in another editing tool such as photoimpression, but it's still not too far in depth...

 » OK

Pretty good except you cant decide where you want the image

 » pointless

I find this pretty pointless because it saves the image over the size that a 1.5 user can use, if it was made to only save at a size usable by 1.5 users it would be usefull, especally for noobs, but i just dont see why andyone would use this and not MS paint or photoshop.

 » Nice but I won't use it

This is certainly a usefull tool, but I rather use Adobe Photoshop

 » pretty cool

nice, it helps make a template if you cant make it urself I guess, and u can resize it for 1.5 in PS, but if u have PS ur prolly not gonna be using this...

   by ultimax - 2006-05-14

you don't have to use this if you don't want to but i will keep on updating this for those who might want to use this.
i didnt have 1.5 in mind when making this, but i will make it so that you can choose what size you want the background.
