Sony PSP - Image 1PSP homebrew coder brethren passed by the QJ.Net Forums earlier to announce the release of the Easy Theme Flasher application. According to the developer, this homebrew gives PSP owners"the ability to first preview theme, the ability to flash theme, make a backup of all customizable files, (and) reflash backup."

Also included in this application are seven custom PSP themes, with credits going to homebrew developers evolve, MaDSouL, saizn, mrdude, blackskull, gSmoke, Undertaxxx, and Z33.

At the moment, brethren has developed two versions of Easy Theme Flasher - version 1.2 for PSP custom firmware *3.30 OE-A, and version 1.3 for Dark AleX's recently released custom FW 3.40 OE-A. In case the users run into any usage problems, we advise them to head over to brethren's thread over at the QJ.Net Forums for further clarifications. With that said, we hope you guys enjoy your download.

*We're note sure if brethren meant 3.30 OE-A or 3.30 OE-A'. Still, guys who've tested the app seem to indicate it's working. In any case, we'd appreciate it if the users commented either here or at the release threads in case they discover any issues with this app.

 » Why?

Why does anyone want to change the PSP's normal interface theme? This is not meant to be changed in any way and could permanently damage your PSP. So please do not support the code makers.

Sincerely,

J.P. Hendrick

True dat nukka, I liked this program, when i tried with 3.30 OE-A' . It said "noob, this only works with 3.30 OE-A" and instead of being like "wtf i have 3.30 OE-A" i was like, "dude it just called me a noob" so i updated to 3.40 OE-A. and it works.

Seems useless downloading this when you can get a better app.

Where do you put the files??

 » BEWARE!

This doesn't work on 3.40 (you'll get the Black Screen of Death). And YES, I downloaded to correct version.

I got it to work once. But when I restarted my PSP at a later time, I got a blank screen. So I went into recovery mode and defaulted everything and my PSP started working again. When I tried the program again... it will not work at all, repeatedly giving me the Black Screen of Death.

If you're on 3.40, I'd recommend staying away from this one!

 » nice for noobz!!

this is a really nice ap!! looks so good! and great for a noob like myself! i did have some issues with it a 1st and semi bricked 4 times...... the problem was i went from 3.10 oe-a to 3.40 oe-a (sweet) but when i went into recovery i couldnt access the configuration ... it just went to a blank blue screen and turn off after about 10 secs (strange!), so after a little research i found out i needed to format my flash1 which i did with the flash1 format v2 (which u can find on here), this restores the psp settings because when i done it from the xmb it wanted to restore it to japanese and my psp isnt a jap one!!?? once this was done i faked the region to europe (as i believe u need to do to run this theme flasher?) then installed this theme flasher again and hey presto!!! a psp my friends will envy!! all i want to do now is change the sce start up logo and i will be happier!!
