there's already .7 out on maxconsoles
No there isn't... I looked everywere on Max console and there isn't a v.7.
http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t+40946
There is another app called PSP2PSX, which has version 0.7
That program isn't a gui, but works without base.pbp and keys.bin (these are included in the exe).
maxconsole post this same app, later tan here
You need to do your research people.
0.7 is a different program
0.6 was released a few hours before I reported it to be posted here.
looks great, works great and easy to use, thanks!
Definitely near perfect now!
does this mean if i use this with pal games there no longer be glitches in the game and it will show all the screen and not just most of the top hafe foregive me if i am being a noob i've haven been on the qj network from christmas my computer broke
What is the PAL2NTSC fix for?
pal games are too far down on the psp so you have to convert them to to ntsc. Also graphical bugs at the top are fixed by this :)
Pal is digital TV use in Europe an ntsc is analog TV use here in USA and japan also i think you must use difference signal from you tv provider
great app.thank man
Up until this release I have been using Hex editors to fix my games along with the original Popstation.exe commandline prompt method. Now this program is so much better and saves time and is really convenient. I know some people will still use the Hexedit and commandline because they think only newbees use GUI's but they are wrong!!
Good work on this one.
Itried it and i converted Gran Turismo (PAL).
The Glitches doesnt go away...sh**
I think not all Games are fixed with that tool.
all we need now is compatibility with more games, maybe 3.03OE will follow soon ...
THIS GUI ROCKS ( BUT I CANT USE IT ). I PUT ALL THE FILES IN THE FILES FOLDER . BUT WHEN I TRY TO CONVERT A IMG TOP PBP I ALWAYS GET THIS MESSAGE: ERROR FROM POPSTATION / CANNOT OPEN C:Documents and settings/myname/myimagename.img. PLEASE HELP ME. I WANT TO FIX MY PAL GAMES!!!! I WANT TO PLAY FF8 . PLEASE
Try converting it to an ISO
All I ever get is just a black screen after every conversion. Shows the white text screen, then nothing happens - this is with every game I try (Toshinden 1,2,3 - pong, madden, FF Tactics, q-bert, soul blade...) is this happening to everyone? Is there a compatibility list anywhere out there?
Maybe your games are PAL, a lot of PAL games won't work.
Pal to ntsc doesnt working. I tried many games, my friends too.
OK - All games are orig NTSC - I am using Soul Blade as test. Prior to this GUI, I've used pops commandline and popsGUI - Game would always come up with black screen, after using this, get error 80000004 (improvement, at least something new is happening). Question is (that I have not seen answered anywhere) is the compatibility very very low on converting PSX to PSP (I have not had a success in over 30 attempts - orig NTSC) or am I doing something wrong. If you have had success, especially with BAT 1,2 or 3 or Sould Blade - please outline what you did and with which programs (for example, Alcohol 120 will only convert to mdf, not iso). Any enlightenment would greatly be appreciated. Thanks guys.
mdf files will NOT work.
Mount the mdf file with your alcohol virtual drive.
Then open up alcohol and click image making wizard.
Choose the virtual drive that you have the mdf mounted to. Click next
In the image format dropdown box select ISO
Choose the name and location of the output ISO and click start. Voila
mdf converted to iso
Now convert that iso using PSX2PSP and it should work.
...but maybe you forgot the KEYS.BIN file.
...and the ntsc thing works fine for me (I don't see glitches I had with unpatched pal games).
Just a very, very, very small thing's there that isn't that fine:
The screen isn't centered enough. I've a few black pixels on the left and on the top and I miss a few at the button.
That should be fixed cause I can't see a few menus now (I already used a program that fixed that so it's possible).
Other than that the programs makes things a lot easier, thank you :)
you're right, ntsc patching doesn't work.
wtf is this peice of ***** homebrew is for *****s updates are good
Your just jealous....go have fun playing ur loco roco demos while we enjoy some ps1 titles...
Oh, of course! I'm going to update my PSP right now to 3.03 and forfeit the ability to play Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy I, II, III, IV, VI, VII, VIII, IX, Mystic Quest, and Tactics; Super Mario, Super Mario II, Super Mario III, Super Mario World, Sword of Mana, Terranigma, Illusions of Gaia, Metal Gear, Metal Gear II, Metal Gear Solid, Castlevania, Pac-Man, DOOM, DOOM II, Final DOOM, Tomb Raider, Twisted Metal, Silent Hill, Resident Evil 1, 2 and 3; among hundreds of other titles. All so I can play some lousy Sony DEMO game about a blob! Oh boy! Network update, here I come!
[/sarcasm]
I use to love them sick tracks from twisted metal 3 and 4.......I hope this gets fixed so i can play them games like old times..Tho i notice some weird. Street Fighter ex plus 2 i go online when i converted it with the first popstation it wouldnt play any background. Then when i coverted it with the new one it played the music tho didnt work with the other games i have.Great App by the way.....Much more easier now...Thanks a bunch
just perfect, all needs fulfilled :)
Although I havn't tried the PAL2NTSC conversion part, this is by far the best Popstation GUI! Very easy to use and easy to incorporate ICON0.PNG, PIC0.PNG and PIC1.PNG, and files names and save names! I have all custom PSX games now! 8 and counting!
i had been wanting to convert a few ps1 game for a few day but hadn't got round to trying any app!! (couldent b arsed to learn the hex editing!!!)
anyway i got this app like 2 day ago and it converted all by back-ups perfectly!!! (no probs at all)
i did 4 game and they are sweeeet!!!!!! (it changes the savce location for you!!!!)
then i started to mess around with adding images (but this failed (the converted game played amazing but images dont work!!
so i opened a game with UMDgen and extracted the images for the icon and stuff from a back-up UMD...then took those images ito photoshop and placed new pictures over the top and saved them back as png (or what ever there called) and presto!! it worked
now i have a easy convereter for my ps1 games and it changed the save location and iicons SWEET!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH 4 THIS APP (I DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO LEARN THE HEX EDITING AND I DIDN'T WANT HOTSHOTS ICONS FOR ALL MY PS1 / PSP GAMES
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
GREAT APP!! MUCH'O RECOMENDED!!!!
mayb ur files arent in png thats y the images don't work u should try it tho
this GUI finally helps me with converting PAL ti NTSC, the only problem I had till nox - poor german... xD
i just converted th first one...
but somehow the GUI tells me, that it doesnt find anything to patch in my gran turismo 2 - im sure it is PAL. and it always has that crappy sreen ...
Can i use to this to edit the PBP eboots tat have hot shot golf 2 as the images and the save problems???
has anyone found a way to get to the second disc of chrono cross?
Simply Wonderful! THanks been using it all day. will post a perfect icon pack in the forum thread! Brilliant.
PAL->NTSC! Thats going to cut down time when converting *falls in love*
Conversion works great...icons...not so much. I load icon0, pic0 and pic1 (leave other two blank) and when loaded to psp, it just shows regular background and no icon. Anyone else experience this...what am I doing wrong? BTW - preview works fine.
Anyone else having this problem...read the readme!!! (put pics in pics folder)
Can any one help me get those file back.png, base.pbp, gameInfo.txt, icon_back.png, KEYS.BIN, no_icon0.png, popsation.exe. I need it to for my PSX2PSP. Pizz help me.
I have yet to trie this covertor but i will in a minute. I would like everyone out ther that ff7 stops working when you get top buhagen's space machine thing. Please does anyone know how to fix this???????
It's my favorite game and I would be hugely grateful if someone would help me.
