Easy Spoof v1 Beta - Image 1Why would you want to spoof your own firmware version? Because you can, thanks to Mr_Shizzy's homebrew app, Easy Spoof v1 Beta.

This is a simple tool that, as the name clearly suggests, allows you to spoof your firmware version. Now, don't be confused with this one: it does NOT actually change your firmware, just the firmware version display in the XMB, under the "System Settings/ System Information", alright? It's a spoof, remember.

Anyhow, this is just Beta v1 so the dev says he'll probably be updating more in the future to accommodate more than eight characters for use in the firmware spoofs. You can join the discussion by visiting our forums linked below, or by leaving your comments here in our section.

im running firmware version 5.00m33-3 and i put the folder into the GAME5XX folder and i run it but it says that it can only be run on version 5.00m33-3 but im already running that firmware :(
