PSP - Image 1Here's a demo of the 2D side-scroller dan369 has been working on. As the title of this article states, the game will be written in Lua for the PGE API. The first level is based off the NES Mario's first stage.

You may recall some of Dan's earlier works of Zelda Portable Adventures and Dodge the Squares, so this latest game may just be something well worth looking into.

The game will feature:
  • Destroyable blocks
  • Checkpoint System
  • Scrolling
  • Jumping blocks
  • Moving Platforms
  • Dying
  • End level sequence
  • Full Collision
  • Enemies (only one for now. More to follow)
Dan mentioned that there are still a couple bugs that need to be addressed so consider yourself warned.
