PSP Info v1 - Image 1

If you're the type who wants to keep track of everything that happens inside your Sony PlayStation Portable, then this little piece of homebrew from developer basfreak will be handy. It's the very first version of PSP-Info, a homebrew application that lets you check out what's happening with your handheld of next-gen gaming fun.

So, just what sort of information can we see with PSP-Info? Here's a complete list, taken from the release thread itself:

Battery:
  • Temperature
  • Voltage (milli)
  • Charging (true/false)
PSP:
  • CPU
  • BUS
UMD:
  • Disc (true/false)
  • WLAN
  • MAC Address (this isn't working good)
  • Switch (true/false)
Very neat, especially the deal with being able to see the temperature of your battery - overheating is a very serious issue that could damage your PSP permanently, after all. And with this being PSP-Info's maiden release, basfreak hopes to include more information in the next version, with the new additions including Battery Percentage, PSP Time and UMD info. He also plans to have the MAC Address feature fixed.
