And it was such a young title...

Even with Vice City Stories running on PSPs, Liberty City Stories can still make some noises. It's only been a year since the the first Grand Theft Auto PSP title had been released, and now if you check the product page of the game at Best Buy, you will find that it is now a Greatest Hits.

And sold at US$ 20 a UMD pop.

This bit of news has gotten the guys at NeoGAF in a bit of a-twitter. It is, on the one hand, a bargain. Especially when you consider that the PS2 port, while more limited than its PSP sibling (no multiplayer, etc.), was sold for US$ 20 at debut. On the other hand, it has only been a year. And one member of the forum decided to run over to the official Sony Playstation site to check their Greatest Hits list and... it hasn't been updated yet (if LCS is really a Greatest Hits now).

We can think of at least one other "On the other hand." PSP owners would already have had them for the pre-2.70 exploit. Not that we'd need LCS for that anymore in this day and age, either.

Oh, well. If for some reason you still don't have Liberty City Stories, seems like Best Buy now has the red-tagged Greatest Hits version for the bargain price (unless, of course, Best Buy got the inventory wrong...). Now if Vice City Stories was also sold at bargain prices...

Well if it's sold 250,000 copies than it is a greatest hits.

And if it... who cares?

 » Wrong

The correct answer is that you only need 2.0 to play this game. No need for 2.6. An yes, you can use Devhook.

 » Nope Dude, you're wrong ;)

Although the original GTA:LCS required only 2.0, the newer "patched" version that was made to prevent loading up homebrew came with and required 2.6. Therefore, the GH version is going to require 2.6 ;) That that it matters anymore with devhook out.

 » hmmm

crap i paid full price when i got it. lmao oh well cause the save game loader has been patched on lcs from what i last heard. and if it wasnt for lcs i would have had to wait forever (the tiff downgrader) to be in the h-b glory i have now. if ur gonna but the game and have space to spare check rockstar games and other sites for the custom music enabler. converts music to gta format(no idea the difference) but it is much much smaller than normal music files but they can only be played in lcs. hopefully htere is still a bright future for this game. and the many exploits in it. ha
