Bartnicki and SephZero have put together a theme back for PSP-OSS v.3. When PSP-OSS was updated some graphical adjustments were necessary so these updates will allow you to use the same themes you enjoyed on version .2 with the newest version of PSP-OSS. Thanks to great graphical themes by Bartnicki and SephZero you will never get bored with PSP-OSS's style. You can discuss the themes in their release thread and on a final note, the newest update to the theme pack contains 5 themes and 4 wallpapers, including;

  • Macosx
  • Windows classic
  • Windows XP
  • Vista XP and
  • Vista rec

I don't see the appeal of all these shells if they're unable to automatically load when the PSP boots up or when we quit a game, an application, or something. Just seems like a lot of trouble to go through just to have a prettier interface. And viewing pictures and listening to music via the shell doesn't seem like that much of a reward.

sony should at least tell us a date when thier going to realse 3.0..all they told us , was spring

Anon 7:53, Sony would be shooting themselves in the foot setting a date for firmware 3.00. Everything that could go wrong with the release of 2.00 did go wrong. Sony set a date for 2.00 and after it was released in Japan they said the U.S version would come out in a month. Well, a month came and went and then they set another date and that got pushed back a few days before the deadline. Then they set another deadline and that got pushed back as well. By the time it finally came out people were so frustrated and pissed because of the lackluster features. By Sony's tight lips I'm guessing they've learned their lesson. Setting a deadline for 3.00 would just restart the vicious cycle of hype/anticipation/frustration/disappointment.

Ok..... before my foot intersects with someone's nutsack. For the last time...... THE PSP IS NOT A COMPUTER! It has no functionality whatsoever in comparison to a computer.... only to that of an Apple II. Wait until the PSP 2 comes out you fools. Then you won't have to waste your lives away developing nonsense such as this OS Interface.

 » shells shmells... :P

i was using the last psp-oss and i liked it, but now ver 3 comes out so i tried it and now all my old skins are useless, i'm begining to get tired of updating all this crap that is nice but pointless, i have a ver 1.5 that i bought when it came out last year and there has been very few days that my psp hasn't been by my side. ive tried almost all homebrew apps except stuff that deals with wifi cuz my wireless router is messed up. i think its great that we have many many different homebrews but it is getting stale now, we need the coders to work on useful stuff, these shells look nice but having to redo them every time they come out with a new version is stupid.

 » psp life !

i think i'm nearing the life span of my memory stick. constantly downloading and installing all the homebrew i can get my sorry non-coding ass on, my psp is already 1yr old and in that year i hardly used it to PLAY GAMES!!! so far ive surfed the web,(wop hack), watched movies (pmp mod), play old school systems(emulators) used it as a remote for my ps2,tv,dvdplayer,satellite box (ircommander) kept myself organized (psp-pda) played isos (devhook evolved) listened to mp3s (dj psp) read comic books (jpeg viewer) made beats and played a tune (psp rythm, kick, piano, guitar) cheated on crossword puzzles(uo ydict) and the list goes on and on...
am i addicted to homebrew? my psp? psp updates? i don't know but summer is comming and i think i'm gonna lay off the homebrew! its gettin lame with the releases of dumb ***** like these shells that take from other homebrew like file asst and pmp mod and luaplayer, and add them in to thier feature list. to the guys workin on these shells, i give you mad props for being smart enuff to code anything on the psp and i'm not dissin ya'll, but please try to be original, use your knowledge to better the psp community
by giving us non coding leeches somethinfg useful. we are thereason you make these programs (come on,you know its true) you don't have to admit it but why else would you spend your precious time making programs for the psp and release it to the community for FREE !!! thanks for your effort but please GIVE ME SOMETHING USEFULL. not a stupid ufcking shell. hack this motha and give sony the one finger salute. PSP V1.5 FOR LIFE. I WILL NEVER UPDATE MY FIRMWARE SONY not even for ps1 emulator when it comes out, i'm patient ill wait for the hackers to crack it make it better and release it to all us 1.5ers.

 » hereeeee youuuuu gooooo

Wow, people are actually writing essays on here. Simply amazing. Well here's an "Essay" for you.

The Top 10 Reasons Why the PSP SUCKS!

10: Too many accessories. Do companies honestly think that attaching every sort of gizmo ever released onto your PSP is cool? What is this? They should make a television show out of it. "Tejano my PSP" where a bunch of southside mexicans get ahold of it and turn it into something hideous. Then the PSP would actually be worth someone' time.
9. Overpriced Memory Sticks: $199 for a 2GB stick! Yea Right!!! I could buy a 40GB iPod for that price!
8. No Flash for Web Browsing. I feel like I'm stuck in 1992, browsing the web with Compuserve!!!! teeheee
7. Mandatory Updates: You'd think that after paying out the ying yang for a system such as this, they'd actually let you have "some" freedoms.
6. Homebrew: Ok so using an NES emulator might be cool, but what's with all the other stuff? Calculators? Paint Programs? OSS Shells? TV Remotes???? It couldn't be any more obvious that the PSP lacks so much that people have to sit around 24/7 developing homebrew for it. If those things are in such need, maybe sony should have incorporated them into the PSP.
5. No Built in Memory: Ok the iPod can have it and its a lot smaller than the PSP... so what is the problem here.
4. Horrible Graphics. With over a Gig of space on UMD's, memory and processor technology these days, the PSP should at least be on level with Playstation 2, instead of looking like Game Boy Advance or PS1.
3. The Price Tags. Once you spend $250 on the PSP, $200 on memory sticks, $300 on UMD's, and maybe $100 on accessories, your broke as a joke and living under the freeway. Why not just buy a friggin computer for the sake of my hairy testicles. This is an outrage! The PSP should perform like the PS2 on Steroids for that kind of pricing. End of Story.
2. Battery Level.
1. The PSP 2 will be out sooner than you think...

» Where to put this file.

I want to know where this file goes and that is it. I dont want to hear anything about how this upgrade sucks. I paid over 200 dollars for my PSP and I'll do what I want to it!
