PSP Pileup 0.4 Alpha - Image 1Ready for another dose of challenging homebrew gaming on your Sony portable? Developer Sangheili has recently unveiled a new build of the PSP Pileup game, which initially made its debut at PSP-Hacks' Homebrew Idol contest.

The game is a PSP version of the Stacker arcade game and is played with you holding the unit vertically (power switch facing you). This particular build sees PSP Pileup getting ported to OSlib, among other improvements:
  • made the music stream.
  • ported the entire thing to oslib, for image rotation etc.
  • cleaned up the interface and added some menu specialFX.
  • made the code less “dangerous” not using labels anymore.
  • added a shooter, not really a shooter but a “dodger” since the bullet system is not quite ready.
  • added fade in/out screens, they make it look really cool.
  • added an “end” though you can keep on playing afterwards.
  • added fonts, sorry for “stealing” from NIGathan’s Shootuh
  • added a new way to play, “new age” based on the “shooter”
Further details on the PSP Pileup are available in the file bundle's changelog. Those interested in sending the developer any bug reports or suggestions may want to access this homebrew's release thread, via the source link below.
