PSP Slim: Skype Headset kit now on shelves - Image 1Given that we're way past April, you're probably wondering what happened to Sony's upcoming headset accessory for the PSP Slim. The company's official site has just announced that this long-delayed peripheral is now available at your local retailer.

As a recap, Sony's new bundle will carry a headset and remote, and will be fully compatible with the handheld's Skype support.

The bad news is that this kit's going to be on the pricey side - be prepared to shell out US$ 30.00 to make the most out of your VoIP experience, at least based on observed prices at Amazon and GameStop. That's still six bucks cheaper than the projected Japan release, though.

As a recap, Sony's new PSP headset is also compatible with with the PSP Fat, and will work with that handheld's headset remote. That's the latest details we're got for the moment. Be sure to check with your local retailers in case they've already stocked up on this item.
