PSP Homebrew

Wow... apparently our attempt to make everyone happy has failed miserably. Maybe we were out of our minds, maybe we were completely wrong, maybe the whole thought of adjusting the rules to compensate for some confusing wording was based in insanity. But that aside, realize that we DO listen to our users, and the majority of you seem to think we've gone complete farbot.

So, in what is surely an even more confusing move, everyone should disregard the earlier message about the coding competition. We do have some very nice entries from developers who DID follow the rules - and rules are rules. We apologize to those who may have been confused by the rules as stated and released their programs elsewhere, but unfortunately those programs will need to be disqualified.

So - game on! Everyone who sent in a qualifying entry by last Sunday will be judged (if there are more than 10 entries that qualify) and the public polls will open on August 27th! Our thanks to EVERYONE who submitted, whether you qualified or not. It is all of you who keep the PSP Homebrew scene alive and well. Congrats!

However, the one guideline we will cheat on is that all entrants will be given Developer status on our forums which means Premium Membership... surely no one has a problem with that little smudge of the rules. ;)

Mods/admins, 'rules are rules' is meaningless when theyre your rules and breaking them harms noone but you (slightly through a few less hits).

Are you that desperate for hits that you feel screwing devs of quality apps is a good idea?

You must have had harsh childhoods or somthing. Rules exist to maintain reason, reasons dont exist to prop up useless rules.

"This new update obviously shows that they're actually agreeing with you and aren't going to accept anything that would be disqualified as the original rules stood, so you having this attitude is both pointless and retarded."
by Sepheroth

If you'd been following the thread closely you'd have known that my post was made BEFORE they went back to the original rules.

I assume that forums are here so people can express opinions and that's what I did. I realised that Jake most likely changed the rules with the best intentions, but that doesn't mean I had to agree with him.

From what I can see a lot of people thought, like me, that he shouldn't have changed the rules. And as far as Jake is concerned he gets my thumbs up, he read what people wrote and changed things to suit what seems to be the majority opinion.

Don't know how that makes me a 'douche' or 'retard'?

» I can live with that.

You bashing him for what seemed to be a reasonable move was what caused me to with all sincereness call you a douche.

You saying that that you completely disagree and then go on to say that the rules should be upheld strictly as they were from the start, after he had said that he would do exactly that (Which is to disqualify everyone who didn't fulfill the original rules) is what prompted me to calll you retarded.

But aside from that, I have nothing to say about your new post because I agree with you.

 » Read #35 Slowly.....

You thought it was reasonable I didn't so who says you are right and I am wrong ? We are all entitled to our opinion.

If you read #35 you will see that my original post was made BEFORE HE CHANGED THE RULES BACK. This thread started out with Jake saying he'd changed things, people posted, me included, saying we didn't agree and after that he changed the page to say that he'd changed things back, and left all the posts as they were. So let me say this one more time so you understand I made post 21 BEFORE HE CHANGED THE RULES BACK. Got it ?
