CFW 1.50 BDT (FE-7)] - Image 1CFW 1.50 BDT (FE-7)] - Image 2

Darkside of the Black Devs Team has released the latest version of  the Custom Firmware FE that was concocted by himself and Zer01ne. For this release, the firmware of the Time Machine is improved, and even better, now with supports for both the Phat and the Slim.

It also looks like vshmenu has been added, thereby making ti possible to launch a UMD higher than 1.50. It's a little buggy at the moment, but we're sure it's nothing that the devs can't fix.

A couple more reminders before you go ahead enjoy this app: You must have the latest version of DDC (Despertar del Cementario) and, of course, the Time Machine. Installation should be done 150_340 Slim.

Here's the changelog:
  • The updater will install the last version automatically. CFE of CPASJUSTE is integrated in this firmware
  • PROTECT FE: Password default: 0000
  • For change, go to: ms0:/SYSTEM folder and edit boot.fe
To use Module FE:
  • FESNAP: Square R to take screens, which will be saved to ms0:/PHOTO/FESNAP
  • Open vshmenu: R L
  • Launch UMD: Umdctrl R Home
There are more details to be had at the readme so don't forget to check it out.

 » what?

is this an actual custom firmware or just a new time machine?

I think its kind of like a custom Devhook/Time Machine FW.

Basically, you know how you can load up the official 1.50 FW using TM? Well this is a CFW applied the 1.50 IPL when you load it up in TM.
It is useful for those people who use 1.50 IPL in TM for Homebrew apps, but still want to maintain basic features of a CFW.

I think thats right.

This is kind of cool. But - calling it custom firmware?? I mean, they just probably added like two of their own PRXs in the TM/150_340/kd/ folder and added them to the list in pspbtcnf.txt. And edited a module to show the firmware as CFW 1.50 BDT (FE-7) or whatever.

That's pretty much what dax did on his 1.50 cfw. Though dax called it a poc at that time. The name isn't that big of a deal though. Think back to when the homebrew scene first began. No one would have hesitated at this being called cfw. I know with all the resources available now it may not seem like that big of a deal, but this kind of work isn't something someone threw together over night.
