thecrazyness1 dropped by our forums and released XMB RCO Patcher, a useful program that'll let you change the background waves, icons, clicksounds, and other items on your PSP. It's much like the CXMB app, but this one is released for ChickHEN users, and that you can mix and match your own files instead of having preset themes at a time.

Developer notes:

This is the first BETA for XMB RCO Patcher BETA 1.

Finally CHICKEN users can customize their PSP's!

This program will let you change your background waves, icons, battery bar / busy signals, volume bar, clicksounds, and bootlogos safely without risk of brick because all files are read from the memory stick.

This program can be used VIA HEN or normal CFW. These files were tested with 5.00 M33 but should work with all newer firmwares.

» two problems with this app

When I try it in ChickHEN, I can't see a way to activate anything (L+R freezes it.) When I use CFWEnabler, it freezes when I start the app. Can anyone help?

 » Ugh...

It corrupted my flash1 requring a formatting and reset of all of my XMB settings and Recovery Menu settings. Easily recoverable but it's 10 minutes I could've spent doing something else.

It kept freezing the PSP just before the XMB loads upon startup. This happened even after disabling the plugin in vsh.txt.

this was 5.00M33-6 on a Phat. It *does* say that this was tested on 5.00M33.
