TrickBrick v5 - Image 1

Ha! As if TrickBrick couldn't get any trickier to its unsuspecting victims! Playboy21 is back with an update for the "prank your friends with PSP bricking pwnage" homebrew app, and has now released TrickBrick v5 (Official Style).

Official Style? What does that mean? In the readme, he calls it SCE Style. In the forums, he explains that: "This new trick tool uses the similar installer that is used in official firmware updates and newer M33 updates."

Official Style, SCE Style - I'm sure you get the picture. Here are notes from the readme:
  • Uses a brand new GUI. Similar to the ones used in official firmware updates.
  • A simple tool that tricks users into thinking they've bricked their psp unit when flashing a firmware (5.00m33)
  • Use this to trick your friends and scare the daylight out of them!!
Gawrsh. I'm feeling sorry for your friends now. Teehee. Or maybe not. Let the pwnage ensue. Readme in the download archive!

So this is what, the fifteenth one?

The "officialness" is nice, though.

My friend doesn't want his PSP anymore thinking that it may be bricked. I wonder if i should just tell him that this was a prank O_o.

Or you can be a good friend and volunteer to dispose of the "bricked" psp for him ;)

 » Oh yes

 » It has a purpose.

Remember kids: Not all homebrew is useful. I can't think of how many times I've installed a homebrew that wasn't useful, but also just plan sucked.

While this may not be USEFUL it has a purpose: Lulz.

If you don't get that, just move on. Your comments that it's mean, or doesn't do anything, are valid, but also dumb.
