Ó

I used to write posts about upcoming titles weekly, then I ask myself, why do I have to write them weekly, when I can post the upcoming titles for the whole month?! So here it goes (although a part of me is saying no, because that’ll mean less posts – and less cash), the whole list of upcoming titles for PSP this month:

PSPanatics can start wielding baseball bats with Major League Baseball 2K6 this April 13. The latest version packs realistic movement system, flashback replays, and the player morale mode that highlights the game’s drama. It will also have the first full Franchise mode for long-term play and adds a new Home Run Derby Career Mode.

By April 17, you don’t have to go to Vegas to enjoy full Poker action, you don’t even to go to any casinos. With 2K Sports World Poker Tour for PSP, gamers can experience a completely new and innovative artificial intelligence system that can make them bluff a la Phil Ivey or Gus Hansen. It also allows gamers to challenge more than 1,200 different characters, all with their own unique playing styles and behaviors. Your winnings can unlock custom clothes, accessories and other invitational events.

World Rally Championships for the PSP system will hit videostores this April 18. It features over 30 official and fully deformable 2005 WRC, Evolution, and Extreme spec cars; from manufacturers such as Ford, Subaru and Mitsubishi as well as all of the 36 official WRC 2005 drivers and codrivers. Other titles that will be shipped alongside WRC is Crave Entertainment’s Puzzle Challenge: Crosswords and More and Ubisoft’s Astonishia Story. The former offers a wide collection of more than 1,000 crossword puzzles, word searches and other brainteasers (more in the line of Nintendo’s Brain Age) while the latter is a Korean-made RPG adventure where the gamer plays the role of a chivalrous knight in an epic journey to recover a stolen sacred relic that symbolizes prosperity and fortune.

Almost a week after those three, April 24 to be exact, two titles are set to follow their lead namely Field Commander by Sony Online Entertainment and 2006 FIFA World Cup by sports-related games giant, EA. As its name suggests, Field Commander gives the gamer the role of leader, giving him the full use of  the game's 15 military units to overcome the opposing army, and deploy your field of 11 officers to lead the battle (this may be boring for those who wish to be in the frontlines, but for dominating cowards like me, it’s perfect). 2006 FIFA World Cup brings the excitement of the actual game to lamers gamers who can’t actually play the sport. Set in Germany and utilizing the latest innovation in game development, players are given the feel of the real World Cup atmosphere.

A day after those two and SEGA’s OutRun2 will come racing towards video stores’ shelves. A followup to the original, gamers are given the usual fringe benefits of its predecessor while boasting of new modes that can give you miles – miles you can later use to buy cool cars, accessories etc. (sorry, virtual race girls can’t be bought, that’s what real-life racing is for.)

Whew, that’s a load of new titles. As usual, we'll be sure to keep you informed at QJ.

» I would have to agree with #1 and #2...

He has a point, perhaps listing the games and then commenting on them would be a good idea.

In response to those tho do not like this guy's commentary, as some people do not want tor ead it some others are interested in doing so. A brief description of the games can help people in deciding which game to purchase next.

On a side note, I am glad to see that PSP game production has increased over time, about a year ago there were not enough games to keep me busy and now games are being produced faster than I can play them. :)
