There's been a great program already out for the PSP called PEP-viewer, hasn't been updated in a while, but it works very well for comic viewing.

... Course I'm sure this'll do a nice job too lol ^^
Thank you soooo much I've been waiting for a cbz reader for a long time. I'm sure alot of people appricate this so thank you for taking the time to make this for us :)
wHAT CAN THE PSP NOT DO? Thank you, homebrew devs!
just as i was loading up the page i was thinking to myself i wonder if anyones come up with a cbz compatible reader (i have many many comics) ...and what do i see.. Thank you so much for this , really appreciated :) i use pep viewer too but this saves time IMO... Thanks!
THE ONE THING I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR SINCE I OPENED THE BOX OF THE PSP! THANK YOU!
It seems to work quite well and has yet to give me any problems, and i like the simple interface, and the zoom adjustment is nice to(when noticeable).
Only other thing i could really ask out of this is the ability to listen to MP3's while viewing the comics. This however, is more than enough!
Im off to read some BATMAN and DARKNESS
again, thank you
This is a great program. I really like it.
Cbr and cbz files are actually rar files with images in them, so you can also use it to read PSP magazines. Just rar the images and rename the .rar file to .cbr
The only thing I would like to see in the next version is the option to always view the images at their original size. With large images you have to press triangle a couple of times every time you go to the new page. But hey, we've got the source. :)
imo eReader's the best viewer for the PSP atm, with it's text and image viewer.
You can listen to mp3's while browsing files and it also supports zips and rars.
Also it has bookmarks and many other features.
hi,
thanks a lot for this nice app. some suggestions:
-have the programm remember the rotation settings (or make an option for always rotate)
-make a two-page view (to get the original page design as intended by the artist)
cheers
Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but every time I try and load a comic, the program says:
"SDL_image error: JPEG loading error"
help.
Thanks Archaemic!
This is a handy utility. It's works wonderfully.
I will second the motion made by dude: It should remember zoom and rotation settings when changing pages. Also, is it possible to only cache the viewable area to speed up load times? (as opposed to loading the whole page each time), or would that make scrolling to difficult? I imagine the speed of the PSP and the flash memory would not make it too difficult as it loads rather quickly as it is.
Congrats on your homebrew Archaemic. Keep up the good work.
