Screenshot of PSPDoom 3.xx PSP homebrew game - Image 1One of the best old school shooters returns to the PlayStation Portable platform as developer CoderX recently released a new CFW 3.xx patch to the homebrew game PSPDoom.

Any FPS fan worth his salt will surely recognize this gory shooter which literally placed id Software on the face of gaming history. This handheld version of the game is based off pspdoom5+ and makes use of a patch, which makes it fully compatible with the new 3.xx PSP custom firmware.

PSPDoom includes binaries for both the 1.5 and 3.xx kernels, as well as the Doom1 Shareware Wad. The game has been tested on both the PSP Slim and the PSP Phat, and has been confirmed to work on CFW 3.90 M33.

If you feel like playing "Knee-Deep in the Dead" all over again, you can download this remixed classic via the download link we've provided below. Before you do that, don't forget to check out the Readme.txt file included with the file bundle for instructions on how to properly install PSPDoom into your handheld.
