Int

After a few months of being silent, zx-81 is back in the saddle once more as he releases version 1.0.7 of his Intellivision Emulator for the PSP, PSPInt. Now a lot of you have been saying that there hasn't been that much news about PSP emulators nowadays, but it looks like things are bound to change. If this is the first time that you're encountering this emulator, we suggest you catch up on some reading in the form of the readme file that comes with the download.

Here's what's new on this version:
  • Reorganization of emulator menus plus new menu for settings
  • Modified icons and background images
  • The battery left percentage is now displayed in the emulator window
  • Watchdog to automatically return to the emulator menu when the battery is very low (< 5%) has been added
  • New feature to save and load a distinct setting file for each games
  • Delete files option (in the file selector)
zx-81 has once again outdone himself. As always, the package is released under the GPL license, so don't be surprised if the sources are bundled. Suggestions? Violent reactions? There's the comments section, leave your thoughts in it.

Good to see that he's still doing something. Hopefully he's also working on more sought after emulators, but good stuff any ways.

YES! I've been waiting for a new version of this, it's actually part of the reason why i wanted a PSP. hopefully he corrected the speed bug too, it kinda makes it annoying to play Astrosmash sometimes

» Good to see you back

I was just thinking about zx-81 over the weekend. Was looking at all these crappy & useless homebrew apps that have been released on QJ over the past 3-4 months and was wondering if ZX was going to return with more updates of his great emulators. Now a few days later this comes out.

Almost brought a tear to my eye when I saw this release :sniff: Don't leave for this long again, zx-81!!!

I am glad to see another update to one of my favorite childhood consoles (next to colecovision of course). Keep up the good work, man.

Thanks for your kind comments :)

I'm still alive :) and i've begun to port THOM (a Thomson TO7 emulator) to PSP ... This is a very old computer, that was very popular in France (may be as famous as BBC Micro in UK) :P.

 » Thank You Again ZX

Like an above poster said, this was my first childhood system. It brings back memories of ppl no longer with me. Thank you for this ZX-81, made my day.

I like this skins option, and I have alot of skins/slips from alot of games. If there is a way to implement them in any form , please let me know, I would love to help anyway I can. I have most saved as jpeg, but could easily convert.
