Ó

The "Team PSPCrazy" released their first program for the PSP as an entry into the NeoFlash Spring Coding Competition 2006. This program, entitled PSPOSX, is a new shell for the PSP. This new shell looks to combine elements from all three of the current shells into one package/new shell. Now you have 5 (PSP-OSS, Psix, iR Shell, Artillery, and this!) shells to choose from if you are getting tired of the old PSP's XMB (The PSP's "OS"). Best of luck in the competition!

Props to Team PSPCrazy... especially for not charging 10 bucks for HOMEBREW! That and here we have a FREE shell whose functionality actually works. Props guys, great job, screw PSix.

When I try to load PSP OS X, it says this:

Error loading MP3 Module: 80010002.

I dont see how this shell is unique in any way. Anyone can build somthing if they use good parts from all the other compeditors. And for the last time you dont have to pay $10 for PSIX! You are basicly buying the job as a beta tester to test it and give back feedback so they can release a freeware version that works properly. Ill actually try to download this shell when it can think of something unique.

» PSIX is OWNED by this OS

Paying $10 to "Buy the rights to Beta Test" could be about the worst thing I have ever heard. They should pay YOU to beta test. That whole PSIX is a complete bunch of crap. I tried it one time, clicked on photos, although I did not have any photos, and it crashed.

This was on the most recent version. So obviously there are not too many people paying to do the work. You know, paying to find the bugs.

Please dont criticize PSIX unless you have the pro membership. I agree with someone..that this is nothing new. To me it seems like a last minute program to enter in the contest. Thats lame. This program is lame. PSPcrazy is lame.

if you actually go to the PSPcrazy forums (home of all your gaming needs) you realize they have been working on it for quite some time and from what I heard the pro membership wasnt THAT good.

 » psix sucks ass

psix sucks ass,
psposx is a much better,
more stable shell.
I wouldn't take psix for free.

 » Error loading MP3 Module: 80010002.

This error only occurs when you try to hide corrupted data icons. if you copy the 2 files directly to the games diretory it works fine.

Could you please bring out a new version with more pmp functionality?

I'm voting for this one in the competition, for sure!

Isn't the fact that it costs money enough of a reason to not use it? Seems sort of stupid to pay for something Sony's trying to prevent!
