PSP SSH - Image 1Over at the QJ.Net Forums, homebrew coder Zx-81 has announced that PSPSSH is now at version 1.0.3. As freyyr890 explained in version 1.0.2, this homebrew application is "a protocol for remotely using the command line on a system, primarily Linux systems."

This allows your PSP to issue command lines to your Linux, Unix, or Windows systems (provided they're running on an SSH server) so long as you have an internet connection.

PSPSSH is Zx-81's PSP port of the Dropbear SSH2 Server and Client by Matt Johnston, with PSPSSH specifically a port of client version 0.48.1. Moving on to version 1.0.3's changelog:

  • New Danzeff keyboard layout (alt keys are now available)
  • New option to save the vt100 screen as a text file.
  • New login menu (more friendly, and with new options)
  • Improve vt100 emulation (for example, the nano editor works fine now)
  • As Matt Johnston advised me, I've added a new initial random seed generation, using keystroke latency (you have now to press psp keys randomly, the first time you run PSPSSH).
  • Bug fix in random number generator
  • Bug fix in key send function
  • Bug fix in vt100 emulator
Full installation instructions, usage details, and changelog lists are available in the download pack. Also, the maker of this application has included a rather comprehensive readme, so do make sure to go over those notes first. Should you have any complaints, comments or praises for this brew, just head over to the the release thread via the link below, and join the discussions. Lastly, Zx-81 has also provided for PSPSSH v1.0.3's source code, for the sake of the curious souls wondering how this app works from within.

Is it me or isn't the on-screen keybord working for uppercase caracters?

it's you lol, you can use uppercase characters using the RTrigger key of your PSP (and LTrigger to toggle between several keyboard layouts).
