Logo of PSPTube homebrew media application - Image 1If you've been having trouble trying to run Dailymotion videos off PSPTube or its modified version, then you might be interested to know that a new patch from homebrew developer Walar now has a working script for the online video streaming site.

Entitled "PSPTube++", this modified version of the homebrew flash video player is based on PSPTube 20080224 from SofiyaCat. A patched copy for the JavaScript code designed to run Dailymotion has been included in the new bundle and should play videos from the site just fine.

For a more detailed look into the new JavaScript code, you can visit the xtreamlua forums and check out the thread where the developer discusses the patch. The site is in French though, so you might need to run it through an online translator to get the gist of the discussion.

Also, we need a "version" that is able to download (!) Veoh videos.
The latest version (by arnookie) can play veoh videos, but it cannot download them.

 » Still wasn't fixed

It's still not working, youtube script still freezes page 3.

   Re: MyDixieNormous - 2008-08-05
 » yeah

The person said they're working on a fix for it :)
I remember seeing a script that allows you to go past page 3..it was in chronos' version I think.. I'll check and see.
Dailymotion doesn't work in that version either..but you can replace it with the new script and it'll work fine :)

   Re: toomyzoom - 2008-08-05
 » Try this

Download super psptube version 1.3 of Psimxc and take out the youtube script of Psimxc's version to this version and you have both dailymotion and youtube(3 pages browse fixed) working again.

It works!
I hope they find a way to use that +fmt+18 thing to play youtube videos in high quality, if they can do that I'd be very grateful..

» Is this one more stable?

Arnookie's version always seems to crash on me for some reason; it crashes, then turns off.
