Sony PlayStation Portable - Image 1Another shell program for the PlayStation Portable has made its way into the homebrew community as developer pspZorba delivers the latest version of PSPlorer. Version 1.4 includes several functions that are very useful for the more advanced user.

While PSPlorer sports many of the features of your standard handheld file explorer, the newest build allows users to convert or even back-up their files in either CSO or ISO format. The developer was also able to correct a bug found in built-in keyboard, which sometimes adds strange characters in its default set.

Anyway, here's the list of all the new changes included since our previous coverage of PSPlorer:
  • UMD backup in CSO format
  • file conversion from iso to cso
  • Directory transfer in Ad hoc mode
  • file and directory properties change ( access right, creation/update/access dates) ( WELL it's not really new it was present in the HB but not in the doc)
  • correction of bug in the default value of the OSK virtual keyboard. The effect of the bug was that sometimes strange extra char could be seen in the default value.
In addition, pspZorba revealed some of the future plans for the application. These include plans to change the Adhoc mode of communication to improve performance, multi-language support, and changing the UI into something more pleasing to the eye.

In any case, you can download the file bundle containing PSPlorer v1.4 through the link we've provided. Don't forget to read through the appropriate documentation included with the application before installing it on your PSP.
