PSPvista screenshot - Image 1Homebrew developer Jack just updated his PSPvista application for the Sony PlayStation Portable. As the name implies, it's a homebrew app that mimics the Windows Vista operating system on the handheld. It's no emulator, but PSPvista is constantly updated to add new features the actual OS has.

For those who missed the previous release of this homebrew app, here's the roughly translated list of Jack's PSPvista version 0.3's updates:

  • Everything has been recorded
  • All the images were redone
  • Added time
  • Addition of a witness battery
  • Addition of panel
  • Can connect / disconnect from the USB panel
  • EBOOT were changed and the images of EBOOT
  • Adding a boot windows
  • Can exit via a homebrew on the start menu
  • The cursor now moved by the analog stick
  • Addition of information on icons when you put the cursor over
  • Can take screenshot (it will be saved in P: / PSP/GAME150/vista/mes documents / screenshot and will be png)
  • Skins were created
  • Windows Media Player has been added
  • WMP is available from the Quick Launch bar
  • Games and applications are available from My Documents
  • Gambling game tux
This latest release, PSPvista version 0.3.1, simply fixes a bug that prevented Windows Media Player from closing properly. For more details and some skin packs, click on the link below that leads you to Jack's release.
