i think you also need to put in the cygz.dll into the files folder as well, since Dark_Alex says that his latest popstation uses, and when i tries to convert something it said i needed it.
Here's everything you need to have in the "files" folder (the readme isn't very clear.)
back.png
gameInfo.txt
icon_back.png
no_icon0.png
options.ini
BASE.PBP renamed hot shots 2 EBOOT.PBP
KEYS.BIN from the hot shots 2 PS3 download
cygwin1.dll
cygz.dll
popstation.exe these 3 from from Dark Alex's 3.03 custom firmware under popstation
second!!
go to hell
I hate that lame postation lol i remember the first one took me a while to use it and this one couldnt use it this gui is much better......
thank u for the hard work yall do!!
PSX LIVES once again!
If you hate popstation, why are you using it?
This is a frontend for popstation. Not an alternative altogether.
QJ.NET MAYBE YOU WILL UPDATE THIS ***** EVERY DAY? IT'S NOT FUNNY, SERIOUS. 7 VERSIONS IN 1 (!!!) WEEK. LOL.
Are you saying that constant updates arent good? Its great to have people that update their Apps constantly. How would you like to have an outdated and unupdated App that doesnt improve. Stop the 73itching and appreciate the frequent updates.
where do you get the popstation.exe from
Maybe you should try something called reading the readme. Hint: Read the readme included in Dark_Alex's custom firmwares. Then read all the readme files in the future to stop becoming a noob.
What does output PBP folder mean?
That's where the program will put the EBOOT files when it's done converting.
Thanks! Very nice program.
if a higher compression number takes longer to load while playing or just converting?
will compressing a game like final fantasy 7 to level 9 make the game run glitchy or sumthin?? what about default compression??
i got the same problem with FF7
The compression won't make the game glitchy or take longer to load (not for me at least).
And I guess it should be OK sense D.A. didn't mention anything.
Can you compress already made EBOOTS. If not i'll wait for that, because i don't want to redo everything again.
No. You're pretty lazy
i wouldn't mind it, considering Mine was originally IN eboot form...
king squirter?
please put it into the GUI !!!!!!!
It's already there. The screenshot only shows the download screen. The real screen has the PAL->NTSC option.
It doesn't work anyway, I've tried it.
Does this have compression support?
Sorry, i just realised this had compression.
If you set compression to 0, it will patch PAL to NTSC.
However if you use compression 1 or more it will not find the patch bytes.
Possible reason - it may be compressing first and then running the NTSC patch.
Report the Bug dude so we can have a better version realeased.
mmhh too bad i have now also problems with FFVII ... on 3.02 OE-B it worked (kinda) well ... but now the whole menu in battle-mode flickers like hell ... its NTSC ... :( ... guess we´ll just have to wait a little longer until everything runs smooth and clean ^^
If I already have an EBOOT of say XENOGEARS but I don't like the background image I originally used (found a much cooler one at pixelstation) can I use this program to edit the EBOOT and insert the new image in?
Or do I have dig out my disk and rip it all over again and do popstation again?
Thanks.
just open the eboot, choose a another background and convert again. Make sure to save in a different location though. I tried an earlier version and it didn't write over the old file. It just created one eboot that was twice the original size.
Thanks Tee
i cant get this to work. i have the appropriate files in the "files"folder.wheni pick my iso and all of the pic1,icon0,things like that i go to options pick compression9.then when i click on save an error comes up saying something about path not created, cannot find options.ini.!! wtf is that? where do i get that file i dont see it in the files folder. so i guess im missing someting, please someone help me get this working.
when i try to convert the iso it says popstation.exe not in files folder, which it is. then it says invalid name. what do i do to make this work.!!!arrg its driving me nuts, please help>
Where are you supposed to get BASE.pbp from?
Base.pbp is The Eboot file. You need to rename the Eboot file from Eboot.pbp to BASE.pbp
Which Eboot?
WTF is up with all the noobs. Have you read the readme? If it doesnt say in the readme, read a later versions readme.
And since I know it doesnt say in this ReadMe, BASE.pbp is hotshots golf eboot.
im still having trouble making compressions of the psx eboots. i tried this one and darkalex auto popstation2 and i get errors on both when i try to compress the ISO/BIN files!! whats this option.ini file? its not in the package? and how come i get nother error saying popstation.exe cant be found, when its right there in the files folder!! i just dont understand this. i had no problem making regular psx eboots but i cant get this compression one to work, help please!!
I downloaded 2 PSX ISO's from the internet, converted them using PSX2PSP, and neither of them work. Which game folder are you supposed to put them into?
Thanks
This is a gr8 app

I LOVE YOU!
what exactly is this. I might be a complete noob, but seriously?
i have a big problem.i just installed 3.03 OE-A from 3.02 OE-B And i am using PSX2PSP 0.7.1 For compressing and Custom Images and save files. Ive tried compressing about 10 different psx iso's and every time i put them in my game folder i get a Error saying THE GAME CANNOT BE STARTED (80020148). does anyone know how to fix this? or is there any other applications i can use? HELP ME PLZZZ I used 2 applications and dark alex's command line one. and the error keeps on comming up.
I think your problem might be that you haven't changed the kernal mode from 3.03 to 1.50. Hopefully that'll help.
I tried to convert some eboots that I had already made and tried to compress them but the size doesn't change? Does this only work for ISO's or any other images? I tried several games and the size doesn't change to any of them. I got all of the necessary files and get zero error messages.
Yes, the current version will not compress previously converted eboots. You will have to extract your isos from the eboots and convert them again with compression turned on. Esure that you have the latest version of Popstation.exe from 3.03 OE-A in the files folder.
no man i just tried it and it didnt work. I give Up. ITS F**king PISSING me off haha. ive tried everything and nothing will help. but when i download the already made ones they work perfectly.
Have you had success in the past (before upgrading to 3.03 OE-A), or is this the first attempts? What software are you using to rip the Isos, are you sure they are ok? I use CloneCD, it seems to work the best for me.
