LOL QJ don't like hosting ILLEGAL files so why is this here LOL So I take it QJ is now going to let us talk about ISO's
it would be nice if
a) we could rip video etc first
b) if we could compact them somehow
c) someone torrents something other than RPG's coz they suck :p
d) im after ROLLCAGE if anyone has it ;)
omg is dat sum illegal copyrighted filez?

» QJ IS HOSTING THIS FILE
http://dl.qj.net/PSX2PSP-v0.7-PSP-Tools-Utilities-(on-PC)/pg/12/fid/11961/catid/193
thought i could ruin it for you guys after i downloaded it! lol
What is this Speed++?
It speeds up the conversion, but it creates more lags in the game.
taht was fast
I'm gonna try this out. I can't wait! Thanks Zalbard!
does the eboot have pics of hotshots or what??
yes
how do u use this
how bout telling us the save problem plz? theres no readme or anything.
has anyone tried this? how are you liking it? what are the pros and cons?
When I apply the Speed ++ thing it freezes up, should I not include that?
this is nice .. except I dont understand anything. i love dark alex. i made my 1.5 psp in 3.02 OE-A then into 3.02 OE-B.. but this psx converting and all that is too complicated so i download it from bit comet. pls make the words a lil more easier and specific. and pls put pics of how to convert to. anyways. i was wondering. umm.. does he mean like we put our own ps1 games in the comp then convert?
The blog said it no longer requires base.pbp, those that mean you no longer have to have a copy of Hot Shots to convert?
No you don't need it for this converter, my guess is that it has something similar that he has made himself (and thus legal to distribute)
my Pop station rocks. Way better deal. It was only like $15. Screen might not be as nice but has way better load times...
u, sir, are a complete ass... LOLLLOLOLLOL
lol I agree
Or if you are lazy, try creating a shortcut to popstation. Then drag your iso on top of the shortcut.
where does it dump the converted file to???
***** BEWARE! THAT PROGRAM IS PROBABLY ILLEGAL!!! ******
Firstly, if it were possible to do the conversions, I'm sure Dark_AleX would enable us to do so from the start! Next, I've investigated the EXE file and this program seems to INCLUDE PART OF SONY'S HOT SHOTS GOLF 2 EBOOT WHICH IS COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL SOLD AT THE PS1 STORE AND IS NOT LEGAL TO DISTRIBUTE! Moreover the program seems to include/generate a keys.dat file from thin air which ALSO SEEMS NOT LEGAL TO ME!
I think you should investigate that or take the download down ASAP before Sony finds out!!
quit being a PUS sy
ooooh... illegal this illegal that, do you think we Care??? that is thw whole reason why We Updated to 3.02OE-B.
Durrrr..
And you all wonder and ***** at why Sony doesn't allow homebrew. Jeez.
Thank you for your "investigation"!
Who gives a *****ing *****? At least it doesnt include any game data, just the emulation files (which can still be used in popstation, just use that eboot made, turn it into base.pbp and it works). There is "part of the eboot", but not any game data, which is why the eboot remains at 1.41 MB. When you convert your game, it writes the iso headers and the iso to the eboot.
Next time think well, because I can even use the same data from other games and it wont matter.
And also, about the pictures (icon0, pic1) included in the eboot (1mb), well theyre found all over the net so no need to call it illegal...
It's illegal because you don't own the license to it, not because you can't download it.
nig ga i dont give a fu ck!
Seriously, who gives a care if it's legal or not? I don't! Besides, It works and you should use it. You'll be glad you did.
I care if it's illegal. PSPUpdates is hosting something illegal, and Sony can take legal action against the website. Do oyu want this site taken down?
This calls for a flame war!
you ***** who cares, ***** sony
I don't own a PS3 and I don't want to! what can i do if I don't have a damn ps3 and I alreadyown a damn PSP!? huh!?
*****!
Stop being an Asshat @zzhat, whiney little *****
just mark the option to make keys files and select the iso file and CONVERT!
i tested crash team racing and ists near perfect! only thing is sound at main menu and the screen is a bit down. but i think thats coz its a PAL game
you don't need hot shot 2 iso or any ***** like this, just mark the KEYS option
Didn't tested with Speed++ option yet
i found it but it doesn't matter, I'm still at 2.8 (ta-82) and it won't work. I wish someone would PLEASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSE make a downgrade from 2.8 to 2.71!!
dude it's out now, you can downgrade, but not 100% chance, only like 90% successful so far..but you can downgrade, it's on this site. I'm waiting to see a 2.81 downgrader for ta-081 or ta-079 for my friend, so he can finally downgrade and quit wasting money buying fps's on the psp, since they all sucks for the most part.
xknight you're wrong I don't think there's a TA-082 FW 2.80 downgrader yet.
Downgrade from 2.8 to 2.71 then use the TA-082 downgrader.
So I downloaded HotShot Golf 2 for no reason last night?
....waste of $5.99 on the PS Network
Good thing you got it, now get ready for future PopStation releases by DAX. This converter has problem with game saves, so use PopStation for the full PSone experience.
IF you have to the custom 3.02 firmware or IF you can just use the official sony 3.1 firmware to play the ps1 games. Anybody know?
Don't know if you were talking to me but if you were I can't downgrade. I have a 2.8fw TA-82. If someone would make a downsoft to 2.71 I'd be in good shape. Only problem with the 3.01(whatever it is) OE-A/B is that DA dropped the location free TV and I have it and use it on my PSP.
Use devhook to emulate 3.03 without the Location free removed. Best of both worlds...
Yup - open the EXE file in a resource editor - you'll see the BASE.PBP and KEYS.BIN files right there.
Yeah, I know this is totally irrelevant, and no-one really cares, but I just feel like saying crap...
Well no one downloading it cares but QJ probly cares cuz they'll get in trouble for hosting an illegal file.
What are people using to convert the ps1 original disc to iso? I've tried nero and sonic's program both make an iso file and I've converted it to an eboot but it simply will not load.. the boot menu shows up in the game section but the second I click on it boom.. shows the playstation info then black .. so it's definitely something I'm doing wrong when ripping..
Use IsoBuster. http://forums.ngemu.com/934568-post4.html
I've had better luck with Alcohol 120
I use ISO Producer; it's meant specifically for PS1 discs... which my drive has SERIOUS problems reading.
Just use magic ISO
one very good prog.!!
magic iso works wonders with everything.
"...problem with saves though, as he mentioned in his tip to us, so be forewarned."
Care to be more specific?
Yeah I just tested dbz ultimate 22 and it didnt work (black screen, pressed home key and it went to the psx screen with button assigning and screen mode so it seems to be working , just not this game, lol , im going to rip MGS next and test it ...
I had that same problem, it was some kind of problem with my ISOs. When I tried isobuster (available at download.com) it worked perfect, except I'm in PAL region so my graphics are shifted down a bit
Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knows any working PAL>NTSC converter(?)
ZZZZZZZZIPPPER!!
You mean zapper? I didn't find any called zipper, but I'm trying one called zapper now. So thanks, if it works
there's one in my qj... i'm still frightened to update... will somebody make devhook support... pleaaeaeaeaeaese :)
fsdffssdd, update. You don't need Devhook right now.
Well, just tried out Crash Bandicoot 1... it works, just the screen is a bit offset to the bottom... the bottom is a bit cut off and there is black space between the border of the LCD and the game screen :) And the savegames work for this game :)
But there's already an official Crash Bandicoot eboot.
No need to convert that one, just the second and third.
The emu was designed for NTSC games, and PAL games have a few extra scanlines, so that's probably why the bottom's slightly cut off.
MEH, there's a better one than this one that can add icons, change title, etc. Why bother with this one?
Maybe you don't have Hot Shots Golf 2?
popstation? I thought it could only add icons.
Z0mg! It's tha' PSX2 Converter To thaaa PSP! PS2 games!
lol, it's PSX '2' PSP... 2 + "to"
yeah.. i know. a bit of irony ^^
Zinga, where you get ur resource editor from?
It would be nice if you put an option for ICON0.png PIC0.png and PIC1.png... I'm gonna stick with popstation for that reason.. I want my own Logos/Icons...
Well, if this alredy got that function, I'm sorry.
