One of our readers, Sk8kidK, was troubled by the recent PSone Emulator pics and the matching wavy lines and decided to do some research. He searched Google image for "PSP Background" and got a picture of the Wavy lines and background in which he then overlapped the two images provided on QJ.Net with the image he found on Google. The background/lines were, as he put it, "ALL THE SAME". Are the PSone Emulator pics we received today fake? Only time will tell, but is is troubling to see that the lines are in the exact same position as the picture he searched for on Google.

Of course you guys don't mention the post that Fluff did bringing the non-moving wavy lines, but its all good. Just another clear example that this is fake

 » Wouldn't doubt it...

I wouldn't doubt it's a fake but ...

The real one hasn't been seen at all yet, so big deal.

There will be one released by sony when they're done. Could be days, weeks or months. Don't get excited.

notice the spaces in each game title,FINAL FANTASY IV and QUAKE 2 aremore closer to the titles than the oters,it seems he wrote each game title 1 by 1 and then try to allign them, but the in these titles are diferent.
Also notice the playstation logo on corner, did you think SONY will put that in the browser?and the date and battery indicator,in a browser?
your's...ALIENWARE

You have to realise that they have shown that the background can be changed, so they may have chosen the wavy lines possibly off google also.

This is clearly not a finished product yet, and those might be the first and or only games being offered right now. The alphabetical order might come later.

This could be a fake, but for all of you people out there who see something like this and automatically say "Its fake, I know it," with nothing to back that up but "I know," don't bother posting. It just makes us think that you are an ignorant person who has no real opinion.

Heres hoping 3.0 comes soon!

SERIOUSLY. This had to be one of the most lamest attempt. When sony announces the emulator we will see it. THERE ARE NO LEAKS.

 » Why????

 » omg

The spacing is fine. Try editing your font on the PSP. The only thing that really stuck out to me was that they didn't put the size of the file on the memory stick. That definately seems out of character for Sony, but again this is not a final release, and I hope that Sony does not overlook this. I will be interviewing some Sony officials soon and this will definately come up. Check PSPHacks for the article!

My 2 cents.

 » Same faker

The font used in the pics is equal to the fonts used in the 3.0 firmware fake pics...
What a lack of imagination...Besides, Sony will do a much more appealing interface for the emulator.

 » THE BIG MISTAKE

THIS SITE DOES'T NEED ANY TRIK to get to people, this is the best psp site in the net.

What makes you think that the background is animated? The background could simply be a static image of the waves.

by Anonymous Coward (Unregistered) - 2006-04-05
 » of course its fake

can qj.net stop posting all the fake news? its getting rather retarted

If sony was to charge money for a game which we already own at home then its not good.

Im assuming developers at pspdev would be able to hack the system and we would be able to load our own PS1 images. BTW PS1 has a nice Nes Emu ;)

 » Image used:

completely and utterly fake, i used adobe photoshop 7
the background image is hosted on pspupdates... lol

Background used:
http://download.qj.net/uploads/files_module/screenshots/253_PSP-background-thor64.jpg

The maker simply used adobe photoshops Free Transform tool to position it properly. Its getting annoying with all these rumors that were found to be fake "The next day"
