Dude, thats such a funny name....where does he come up with that stuff, ....great application by the way
I think it comes from the media format it streams in, which is PMP, and he added an I making it PiMP streamer :)
I think he means *****y*****1969 is funny...
One of my most used apps on my PSP. Works great! Thanks for all your hard work *****y*****1969!!
does anybody have any advice on how to get this working for the first time user. there is no readme that explains how to get it going. I installed in to my PC and installed it to my PSP, I just need to figure out what to do on the PC side to get a stream started. Thanks for any help.
what do i do in "media paths"? when i try to locate a media file like an avi it's not see it in my directories even though it's really there. Once thats done is there anything else i need to do or is it ready for the psp to start stream view? please help.
vlc video lan to do this or not and if so how do i need to set it up to do this? help me.
on the web that explanes the whole process of getting pimpstreamer running with vlc or how ever your suppost to get it working?
Been waiting for the WPA version for quite some time now. Thank you D!ckyD!ck1969, I appreciate it very much.
*****y*****, thank you so much for keeping up on this amazing app. I've been using it since it first came out. It is definely the most used app on my PSP. Just wanted to say thanks and keep up the incredible work.
Maybe in the future you can add a method for advancing frames without exiting the stream...would be great but not necessary.
Anyways thanks again,,, you rule!!!
and there were a bunch of lamers saying it was fake because it came out on april 1st?
they censor *****y*****1969
thanks
Will it somewhen work on Linux? There is any similar homebrew that do?
is there a server for use in osx? i hate having to switch into windows whenever i want to use pimpstreamer
if I open pmp streamer 0.90 on my psp it says "could not load PSP_NET_MODULE_COMMON" .
If I run pmp streamer 2.01 sub and i try to connect to my wlan it freezes at connection state 2. The web browser in the xmb works just fine with the same connection. Help!
I know that WPA was a tall order for 3.XX OE homebrew and that Ahman and Raf I believe have struggled with it. Its nice to see that its being overcome. Pimpstreamer is a must have homebrew that keeps getting better. Thanks *****y*****1969.
Can someone actually post up a step-by-step tutorial for getting this thing working.. Atleast a link or something..
Confusing..
This doesn't work yet.
You will get "Error:" when trying to play something.
This works flawlessly on my WPA network. Thanks for this update!! Will be donating soon! I did have to copy the pmp.ini file from the sub directory to the pimpstreamer90 directory.
How did you make it work Big Fan?
I have everything setup properly, still no go, on pimpstreamer 201 i get connection host error.
On pimpstreamer90 it crashes on 3of6 connection.
The original file was named pimpstreamer090, i renamed it to pimpstreamer90, and placed it in PSP/GAME, then used PSPINSTALL and that installed everything properly, then i had to move pimpstreamer90 to PSP/GAME340 for it to run, otherwise i got a PSP_NET_MODULE_COMMON error.
But, still i get a crash on 3of6 connection.
I forgot to add that I did move pimpstreamer090 from game to game303 folder. I am running on 3.03OE-C.
I'm also on a mac, i'd love a mac version.
I am using crossover to run windows apps, but it takes up a bit of RAM.
I'd rather have a native version. AND WOULD GLADLY donate for it.
still doesnt work. you get ERROR whenever you try and play something.
I also get the Error: message when I try to stream. Pictures come fine but mp3 and movies fail.
Stupid Stupid Stupid Stupid Stupid Stupid idiots
And maybe it works on Linux! The previous version worked with Wine! :-D Now I can see video streaming using Lunix!

This works in 3.10OE but not 3.30OE or 3.40OE.
Just tested it on my psp in all 3 versions (and all revisions).
It's about damn time!! I love this app, but it was the only thing keeping me from using it. WEP is so crappy it could be cracked in 2min. Thanks to the devs...
Not only does WPA work *FLAWLESSLY* but you can actually FAST FORWARD AND REWIND properly now. WINNAR.
I have 3.4OE and I got it to work in both 90 and 201. 201 worked instantly but to get 90 to work I had to move it into the game240 folder and copy the pmp.ini file from 210 to 90. It also worked in both 1.5 and 3.4 kernal modes
I'm also using 3.40OEA but I was only able to get 210 to work ,and it's wonderful
but 90 turn off itself.
About the pmp.ini what is it and what is the proceedure?
I really would like to learn.
Thanks in advance
yes it does WORK!!!! GREAT!!!
So, here's the problem... well my problem, maybe everyone else needs to do the same thing. I DIDN'T Format after upgrading to 3.40-OE. I formatted and it works now!
I definitely can't wait to try this out.
"...it's an application that'll allow users to stream audio and video from their PCs, Sony PS3s, and Nintendo Wiis to their PlayStation Portable (PSP)"
Hmmm You sure about that ... I can use this to stream FROM my PS3. Or did you mean I can stream TO my PS3. ???
my psp connects well to my pc but when i try to launch a movie or a mp3, there is written error and my psp switches off.
Profile, you said that we need to format, you are talking about the memory stick or the flash1?
thanx
I just want to ay thanks so much...I'm using it with 3.40OEA...at first I didn't know what I was suppose to do. But it does everything by itself. It's automatic.
This is by far one of the best application yet since I love watching movies and music and real time streaming?
I just stay on my bed and access all the movies and music and Pics I have in my PC!!!!!
Crazy Awesome!!!!!
