PSP Homebrew Application: XMBeditor - Image 1

The homebrew application previously called PSP Wardrobe, XMBeditor is now moving along into a fresh direction. Homebrew coder Mr_Shizzy has pimped up his little "pimp my XMB" tool: while it was an XMB theme and mod manager before, it now allows you to go even deeper and manipulate a lot more XMB configurations.

XMBeditor is now actually in its second version. One of the biggest changes is that it's now fully compatible with the PSP Phat. Other than that, here are the other details listed in the changelog:
  • Made process of flashing theme 2 - 3X faster
  • Added color selector for XMB date/time
  • Added color selector for XMB busy signal
  • Added color selector for XMB Battery
  • other small bugs fixed
Be sure to take a fine look at the readme as it contains a lot more details about all its features and a full section on how to install the application.

 » browser fix.

to fix the text in the browser go into the recovery and restore the original xmb from there. thats what fixed it for me

   Re: Foolmonkey - 2008-06-16
» all you have to do...

go into XMBeditorApplicationsXMBeditordatarecovery this is all your backed up files. then in recovery, toggle usb flash0. go into vsh/resource then replace the htmlviewer.res file with the one in the recovery folder. that will fix the browser and you can still keep your custom theme!

I know what I am doing, and I am getting errors as well. I get an invalid color error and it tells me to push x to restart, and the error just loops no matter how may times you load it. Don't just assume that people are morons.

It keeps giving me the same error message that I had before.

   Re: Foolmonkey - 2008-06-14
 » well

what fw are you using? fat or slim? all you do is put the XMBeditor and RECOVERY folders in the GAME folder and put the Themes + MODS folder in the root. then run the XMBeditor from the XMB

 » i did it!

nice app. really simple to use. i use to have to use FileFlasher2.0 but this kills it. 5 thumbs-up to the maker. i've semi-bricked with this, but i used the recovery feature.
the text in my browser is gone, so i might not mess with the fonts anymore.

» IT DOES NOT WORK FOR ME AT ALL

It keeps telling me that FILE NOT FOUND PRESS START TO RESTART. I put every thing where it is supposed to go and I even did the F0 unblocker and nothing is solved. What the hell can I do?

   by bottmint - 2008-06-14
 » /._.

yeah the retarded text in the browser happened to me too. if your restore the original xmb theme it restores the normal text in the browser but the top half is shadowed out. one part of the make your own theme and not the font is causing the screwed up text. i'll try to find out what it is and post it here

   Re: bottmint - 2008-06-14
 » found the browser bug!!!!!!

the screwed up browser text is caused by flashing a custom menu click/custom info bar. it s not caused by the custom font (although some fonts can exceed the limit and have characters disappear). if you make your own theme dont flash a custom click sound/info bar if you use the web browser frequently. good modding to you guys. (^' '^)

   Re: Foolmonkey - 2008-06-14
 » IMO

custom fonts in the web browser just suck. some stuff goes off the page and you can't read it and some pages just get all screwed up and you can't adjust it.

 » @Foolmonkey

yeah i think that a font in the broswer is kinda pointless too lol. anyways good app MrShizzy. i love the make your own theme option.

is anyone else having problems with the wolf background?

   Re: bottmint - 2008-06-15
» if your trying to put it behinf the waves

you have to go to theme and then color and go down until it shows a picture as a color select it then completely shut down your psp and turn it back on and it should work. same thing with your own picture and putting it behind the waves.

 » Brick!

Son of a b bricked my psp!
Is it because i got 1.5 addon installed?
Luckily i have pandora!

   by Rossco - 2008-06-16
 » Brick

This bricked my PSP the first time I used it. I didn't even change anything, I just started it up, and it died. Currently waiting for the Datel TOOL battery to arrive so I can see if it was a one-off, or this is an app with the highest rate of bricking since the MPH downgrader betas.

   Re: Knutselmaaster - 2008-06-16
 » Unbrick

Same thing here.
Started the app, and it begun the first time startup thing, to end in a brick.
Pandora saved me tho and retard as i am i retried, this time without 1.5 addon.
Now it works good, real good!
Please put in the readme if it doesn't work for 1.5 addon users or let the supposed firmware check CHECK THE FIRMWARE!
Props for the program tho, it's really nice.
But i can't use PSP Kick anymore (amongst others...)
