Plato Achieve Now Math - Image 1Handheld consoles being used as study aid is slowly becoming a trend, and computer-based learning company Plato is jumping on the bandwagon to pitch in its own educational gaming software for the Sony PlayStation Portable.

Plato will release its own line of educational games dubbed as Achieve Now in April 2008. With about 57 titles included in Achieve Now, the games clock in with about 2,000 hours of gameplay and content catered specifically to elementary and middle school students.

For those concerned whether or not Plato's Achieve Now complies to educational standards, don't worry. Plato made sure that their line of educational games are aligned to the educational standards of all 50 US states.

Is Plato's Achieve Now better than a standard school worksheet? It may take some time before that question can be probably answered, but it is undeniably more exciting than Ye Olde Schoolwork.
