It probably was a matter of time before someone decided to try plugging an SNES controller into a PSP (hey, if you can plug a PS2 analog stick, and toss in motion sensors to boot, what can't you plug?). Well, thanks to a tip from Natboy, he showed us this: AcidMods' F00 f00's external PSP controller test with an SNES controller. Talk about old-school control. |

FIRST POST I AM GOD
Dumb 1st post huggers.
people who think it matters that they got the first post. Amateurs.
First posters make me want to hurt the internet.
What did they do to "TNT"? It sounded terrible...
What do you mean? That was not only the original version of the song, but also it sounded exactly the same.
It prob just sux on comp speakers
what game is this?
kinda worthless but cool nonetheless
Yeah, I should stop eating paint chips; that was the same ol' TNT, I just must've forgotten exactly what it sounded like since I hadn't heard it in a while.
I'm an idiot.
yeah you are why do you dig your self a hole idiot!
The game is SSX
Until he gives details about the setup and how he did it, there isn't any reason to assume this is anything more than BS
There isn't any reason why the person who did this would want to keep all of the information to himself if it really did work.
I guess you haven't heard of Acidmods.
I can asure you any member of my R+D team has never faked a video. There is no reason to because all the mods we do are very straight forward anyone can reproduce. most are just a matter of soldering wire Altho the there is one where we had to redesign a complet PCB. Also if you look closly in the fideo you can see the wires hanging out of the psp as well as the Multimeter and other techie stuff in the background.
It does works you idiot.. Its just a Preview of what is coming soon.. So just wait and get owned by F00 f00 because you will!
Optix
Anyone who says this is BS doesn't know who the AcidMods team is (they are the ones who come up with all the crazy hardware mods you see on this site). Anyone complaining about why the info has not been released didn't pay attention to the video and hasn't been to the AcidMods site, the SNES controller was an R&D TEST, at the very end of the video (did you not watch the whole thing?) it says what this was a test for... a PS2 controller. F00 f00 is just testing to make sure he has everything hooked up properly, and the idea works before he moves on to the PS2 controller. AcidMods doesn't release half-assed mods, when they release a mod they give you all the info you need and they fully research everything before they release...
Couldnt have put it better myself. The ps2 controller should be ready in the next two weeks. Look out for a vid soon along with a full discription of how it works.
F00
props to jrfhoutx he is one hundred percent right and maybe all the people who thinks its fake should go check out acidmods.com because everything they do there is one hundred percent real and it is definatly the best and most innovative psp modding site out their (their other console mods are pretty freaking awesome to)
cool mod. too bad i cant see the vid cuz im at school. ill take a look at it when i get home. anyway kool nonetheless (from what i read). i just dont get why none of them can be used with custom frirmwares. (they should come in .prx files so we can flash it and use it. and i wonder if we can use it through the usb. (just use the usb cable to connect to the controller) just an idea. (or a dream.) oh and is it possible to connect more than one controllers.
That would be so awesome if we could do that, like have prxs to make each controller work and then we have 3.03 OE-A + a PS2 controller... plugged into the USB port ;)
It looks a little fake, using a gameplay video then playing the game with the snes controller. I'll believe it when I see it without music and a longer tape
People have done this on ever system there is, its really quite simple all you do is wire each button of the controller to each button of the psp.
OMG, so difficult.
ok whoever made that mod is completely retarded what dumb@$$ would need a controller for there psp?? thats like nailing your cell phone to the wall
Rubber and you are glue
If you wanna use an external controller on your PSP, then you shoudlnt own it. Its a PORTABLE system. Playstation PORTABLE. If you want a home staion, et a ps3 or ps2 at least. Or buy a Wii! If you wanna play PSP homebrew with a ps2 controller play it on your big screen with PSP2TV....
